INTRODUCTION
Management states the procedure of planning, organizing, controlling and directing the activities
in the organization (Soni, 2020). Management involves in making a favourable environment for
the employees so that they can work efficiently with each other and attain the target of the
organization. This report describes different forms and function of the business apart from this it
defines the responsibilities of management function. It also refers the interlink of marketing
function with other departments of the organization, along with the role of HR has been
discussed in this report. This report elaborates the organizational culture and its impact on the
success of an organization.
1: Different forms and function of business
Business function is a procedure which ensures the effective and proper functioning of the
company and organization.
Sales and marketing
These two functions of any organization and company are responsible for promoting and
advertising of product. The aim of sales and marketing departments is to bring the product in the
hand of the potential customers (Gupta, 2020). This department is indulged in researching about
the market conditions and trends going on in the market, they keep an eye on their target
customers and acquire new customers along with this they look after the activities of their
competitors as well.
Example Tesco has done intense marketing to promote its product & It has used market
penetration strategy with the help of sales and marketing department to expand their market
reach.
Finance
The main objective of finance department is to provide fund to all other departments. It is the
responsibility of finance department to control the wastage of money, apart from this, finance
department, look after the fulfilment of tax return on time and it works to maintain the financial
performance of the company. It is the duty of this department to control the usage of excess fund
in the promotion activities and paying high salary and incentives to the employees they try to
save the revenue and money of the company.
