INTRODUCTION
People management means enhancing the employees and motivating them to work for
their growth and achieve the success. The managers boost the performance of employees so that
productivity can be enhanced. To succeed in any organisation managing people is the most
necessary thing because encouraging individuals will lead to growth. There are many skills that
are required to perform better and interact with employees of the organisation like active
listening and clear communication between managers and employees, when an employee works
in the organisation then both the managers and people should trust each other. In an organisation
to achieve the success main thing which is important is hiring the right people for the work they
are offering. Sometimes patience is also necessary for all team members. If a new employee is
not able to understand something then managers should guide them properly. They should not
get irritated because to achieve success both managers and employees should have good
communication between them. If a manager is expecting that they should be respect them
employees should also get respect so that they do the work with more enthusiasism. Managing
people is very necessary for every type of organisation whether its small or a large one.
1There are many contemporary issues that a managemnt faces while managing the people. Diversity and discrimination: This is the major issue in many organisations that team
members face. In an organisation respect is very much important despite creating
differences on the basis of gender, caste, religion and so on. No individual should feel
that they are being disrespected because of these kind of issues. In many organisations
because of discrimination among all team members performance gets low. There is an
example of starbucks who faced this issue. The employee was having a dylexia problem
due to which all other team members were discriminating her because she can't read or
write properly. Less responsibilities and duties were given to her and she was considered
as a fraud employee. (Denning, 2018) An organisation success depends on how you are
treating the employees. If there will be a diversity and discrimination problem then no
employee would like to work in that particular organisation. There is a theory related to
diversity and discrimination at a work place. At the end of 1980s there was a prediction
being done that discrimination between the minorities related to the colour issue of
women and the white men. Every organisation had a challenge that employees should
