INTRODUCTION
People Management (PM) is a part of top management of the organization that’s main
and crucial objective is to make the culture and environment of the business a better place not
only for employees but also for company itself. So, this report will identify and analyse the role
and challenges of people manager of the BMI Healthcare. This is a largest private healthcare
provider in the world that offer varied health treatments to the patients and located in London,
UK. This report will also describe the key issues and challenges faced by the company’s people
management in order to manage the work and morale of the staffs. Further, the report also states
the skills and behaviour a people manager must have in themselves with the help of which they
can easily became the effective manager. BMI Healthcare have a highest critical care beds which
is properly managed by the hospital’s staffs on daily basis. The company also take care of all the
facilities and manages positive environment in order to relax the patients. The report also defines
the Human resources process for this respect.

Issues faces by People Management
The various challenges that people manager of BMI Healthcare service provider company
is facing while managing the staffs of the hospitals are as follow:
Harnessing advance health technology: In todays era, both hardware and software
technology is changing over the period of time which affects the business to the great
extent. It is because as per the UK Health Solution report, around 48% of the medical
devices are connected via loT. The management need to provide proper training to the
staffs regarding the new systems and its operations (Ivanova and et.al., 2019).
Performance Management: Over the period of time, because of the lack of motivation or
any other issues such as harassment or over pressurised workflow the productivity and
performance of the employees get low. The people management of the hospital faces the
challenges of how to motivate the staff’s employees all the time. For this, the managers
have to review process and procedure of the workflow constantly in order to identify and
make sure that all employees get equal work. It is because sometime because of partiality
the employees quit their jobs so the managers need to re-establish work schedule as per
the work productivity.
