Overview of the research field
IoT refers to the internet of things which is now used in the communication
systems for monitoring and handling data transmission. Water quality can
be monitored with the help of IoT networks due to their capability to
manage numbers of tasks at a time. Prasad, Mamun, Islam and, Haqva,
(2015) determined the IoT based networks for water quality monitoring are
gaining significance with the advancement in the communication systems
[1]. This paper focuses on the importance of IoT in water quality
management. The major part of IoT technology is that it has the potential to
provide effective services by which consumers can control and monitor the
quality of water. The major purpose of this research is to enterprise a smart
and cost-efficient IoT based system for monitoring the quality of water. In
which a communication system will be developed by which the consumers
can receive message or SMS on their mobile device if any issue occurs in
the quality of water.
Literature review
Internet of things is a major theme for the study and the numbers of articles
were issued in the last five years that developed an IoT based controlling
system for water quality. The intention of this chapter is to determine the
findings of recent papers and review the role of IoT in the expansion of a
water quality observing scheme.
Myint, Gopal and, Aung, (2017) determined that IoT is an effective
technology which may be utilized for developing a water quality handling
system [2]. The key part of IoT technology is that it is capable to provide
effective networks by which communication can be performed and quality of
water can be monitored effectively. According to Saravanan, Anusuya and,
Kumar, (2018) using IoT based networks consumers can develop and
implement a water quality monitoring system and reduce the unwanted
