1. Introduction
In the recent connected world, it has been seen that there has been a major rise in the
number of mobile phone devices and a massive use of the broadband internet services. These
kind of services have become the major need of the people and different industries. In the past
decades, the Internet and telecommunication technology have had a revolutionary form of impact
on the commerce and human culture (Hwang & Wu, 2014). The rise of sensor based technology
have made their major impact on the sector of telecommunications and have thus helped in
bringing about a massive change in the society. The Internet of Things (IoT) could be defined as
the internetworking of different physical devices, buildings, smart appliances and vehicles. The
other kinds of items are embedded with software, sensors, electronics and network connectivity.
The usage of sensors within the telecommunication have helped in the enhancement of 5G based
technologies. These kinds of technologies have helped n impacting the telecommunication sector
and have thus redefined the policy systems of the use of sensors.
2. Background
2.1 Definition of Sensors and Impact on Telecommunication Industry
Sensors are low cost based and highly useful technical devices that are able to control
other kinds of devices such as sprinklers, pacemakers and levels of automotive fluid (Ojha, Misra
& Raghuwanshi, 2015). These devices are also used in different kinds of sectors such as medical,
government, education and also within the telecommunication industry. These sensors are
efficient for calculating data based on real time scenarios (Perera et al., 2014). The sensors are
also able to measure and stream data that are transferred over the Internet, bluetooth to
smartphones and various other cloud based services.

The impact of sensors within the telecommunication industry is that they help in
providing an extensive opportunity for them to shift their entire business to a large form of
reactive model. This would help to bring proactivity and value to the end user. Different
companies can also make use of this advantage based on the management of customer
relationships (Sheng et al., 2015). This could also be a purpose of the management of a different
revenue stream.
2.2 Concerns over the Impact of Disruptive Technologies
The concern of telecom companies are based on the immersive kinds of technologies.
The disruptive technologies within the telecommunication industry would be able to bring new
kinds of competitors from different other industries. The competitors within the
