Executive Summary
The report is prepared for a private biomedical company for the development of the network
solution and readdressing the network device according to the new addressing plan. For the
development of the report an IPv4 and Ipv6 addressing plan is prepared for each of the branch
such that the network devices are configured with the new address. The requirement of Ip
address for each of the subnet are analysed for the development of the IP addressing plan. A
network diagram is prepared following the current topology of the organization and adding the
details of the IP used for each of the department for reducing the complexity of the project. The
IP addressing plan is created with all the details such as the default gateway, broadcast address
such that the network administrator does not finds any difficulty while configuring the network
device. For the development of the IP address plan the number of hosts per each subnet is
needed to be identified with listing the network device that are needed for maintaining efficient
communication between the branches and the headquarters. The interface that is used for
communication is also needed to be identified for the development of the network address
plan.

1. Introduction
The report is prepared for a private biomedical software development company that
currently have two branches located over the Gold Coast region. The network address,
broadcast address, default gateway address and the key IP address are added in the IP address
plan.
Purpose
The main purpose of the development of the report is to create an IP address plan as
there is a requirement of readdressing the whole network of the organization with the new Ip
address.
Background & Scope
The main background of the organization is to develop biomedical software and for the
development of the software. It is estimated that there are 861 number of network device
installed in the different location of the network. The branch A has 86 number of device and
branch B has 61 number of device and there are 714 number of device in the headquarter of
the network. The development of the IPv4 and the Ipv6 Ip addressing plan and configuring the
network device according to it would help the organization to meet the future requirement and
enabling communication with the network configured with Ipv6 address.
2. Organizational Description
The organization deals with development of biomedical software and has two branches
located in different areas of the Gold Coast region. The organization has received a change
request of the current Ip address and thus need to develop a new Ip addressing plan and
reconfigure the network. The number of devices for each of the branches are given and the
network is needed to be divided into different subnet for reducing the generation of broadcast
message and increase the efficiency of the network.
