Task 1
Introduction
The assessment is based on the academic skills which have been developed according to the
present perspectives. The purpose of this assessment is to identify the developed academic skills
which may promote and ensure academic integrity and it may lead to academic success. It has
been recognised that Plagiarism and Academic misconducts have become two serious issues
within the academic field, It has also been observed that the assessment task one will also be
covered up with the avoiding process of plagiarism and academic misconducts. Moreover, this
assessment will cover up a game and the game includes a total of 10 questions which are based
upon the academic queries.
Instruction for playing the game
The name of the game: The name of the game is ‘Integrity’ and basically it is a card game. All
the cards contain 10 different questions related to academic misconduct and plagiarism.
Moreover, all the 10 questions have three options (A, B and C). The purpose of this game is to
improve the student’s knowledge which is based upon the academic misconduct and plagiarism.
Number of Players: There are two or more students who were playing this game with their
professor.
The object of the game: The object of this ‘Integrity’ game is based on the 10 cards whereas the
purpose of this game is to improve the knowledge of the students who are willing to enrich their
knowledge.
Roles
Starting of the game: It has been recognised that the Professor had made 10 ethics cards whereas
each card contains one ethical question related to the academic misconduct and plagiarism.
Hence, it can be said that all cards have A, B and C options.

It has been observed that the game was started by picking up a card by the professor. After that,
the professor asked the questions of the card in a loud voice to the student (other players).
Moreover, the professor has also told them the opinions. The game was ended by attempting all
the academic misconduct and plagiarism based questions. It has thereby been said that all the
questions of the ethics card were asked and clarified by all the players.
Finishing of the games
The game was finished by getting the winner of the ‘Integrity’ game whereas the winner was
found out by evaluating their score.

An explanation of why academic integrity at University is so important
In a simple term, it can be said that the word ‘Plagiarism’ has an internal meaning which is
referring to the copying of contents from another person. It is essential to ensure that the contents
of another person will be focused upon the published and unpublished material. It can be said
that there are a total four types of plagiarism which are direct plagiarism which focuses on the
word to word transcription of a particular section (İrina and Ali, 2018). Other than that, it has
also been recognised that there are other three types of plagiarism that are self-plagiarism,
mosaic plagiarism and accidental plagiarism. It has thereby been observed that the importance of
checking plagiarism is essential because it decides the quality of an academic article.
The process of avoiding plagiarism
There are some steps which can be followed by the students to avoid plagiarism and the
plagiarized free academic material will enhance the quality of the academic article. There are
basic 9 steps which may ensure a plagiarism free academic article. These plagiarism avoiding
steps will be described within the following parts.
Students can try to write their article from Scratch.
They can use quotation marks if the students are forced to mention a specific line from
another writer’s published article.
The main avoiding process of plagiarism is based on the implementation of Paraphrase
and summarizing (Gasparyan et al. 2017).
Providence of complete citation is needed to avoid plagiarism. Furthermore, the timing of
citation is also required to be known.
A prominent idea related to the types of plagiarism is essential to be known for every
student.

Wulff, 2016).

Brief overview of Academic Misconduct
It has been observed that the academic misconducts are based on some academic dishonesty and
these dishonesties are related to the Cheating, presence of plagiarism, unacceptable
collaboration, falsification of data, records and documents as well as it may focus on the
classroom disturbance.
The process of avoiding Academic Misconduct
Academic misconduct is a major issue within the academic field. Moreover, it has been observed
that the types of academic misconduct were already discussed in the prior section. Now, the
avoiding process of the academic misconducts will be covered up in terms of reading the
syllabus with a concentrated and focused approach. Moreover, it may focus on completing the
academic assignment by time and by maintaining the assignment quality (Luther.edu, 2021).
Furthermore, a regular basis study is important for abolishing academic misconduct as well as a
regular basis study is the main objectives of avoiding the Academic misconducts. Last of all, it is
important to say that there are other three points which are included in terms of keeping track of
the academic source and try to be cautious in terms of the sitting arrangement within the exam
hall. It has thereby been observed that the identified factors can be implemented to abolish the
Academic misconduct.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that the assessment has unique objectives which will be focused on further
academic skills. It has been recognised that the assessment has designed a game related to
academic misconduct and plagiarism. Moreover, it has also been observed that the assessment is
containing an instructor based phase for recognising the game of the ethics cards. It can be

concluded that after the introductory and the instruction oriented phase, the assessment has
observed 10 questions which were included in the identified game. Then it explained the
importance of academic integrity within the University and also observed the idea of plagiarism
along with the avoiding process of plagiarism. Last of all, it can be said that the assessment has
been focused on the Academic misconduct and the resolving process of the academic
misconducts were also explained here. Now, it can thus be concluded that the recommended
strategies will be able to abolish all kinds of academic misconducts and it will promote a
successful academic career.
