Is Climate Change a Result of Human Activities?_2
INTRODUCTION
Human beings are progressively affecting the environment and the temperature of the planet
via combustion of fossil fuels, forest destruction and animal husbandry. This increases the
greenhouse effect and contributes to global warming in massive volumes of greenhouse gases in
the atmosphere (Shi and et. al., 2021). The greenhouse effect is mostly responsible for climate
change. Some of the Earth's gases act as greenhouse glass, store sunlight heat, and prevent it
from flowing in the space, producing global warming. The present study is based on the
presumption that human activities have had a major influence on climatic conditions as a
consequence of climate change.
MAIN BODY
Is Climate Change a result of human activities
The research indicated that from 2011-2020 the hottest decade recorded and 2019 saw the
global average temperature increase by 1.1°C cover pre-industrial. Human-induced global
warming is now growing every decade at 0.2 degrees Celsius.
The 2 °C rise in temperatures compared to preindustrial eras has enormous negative
impacts, including a greatly increased risk of dangerous and perhaps catastrophic changes in the
global environment, on the ecology as well as on human health and well-being. The global
community has therefore acknowledged the necessity of keeping global warming far below 2°C
and pursuing measures to keep it below 1.5°C.
Causes of Emissions Increases
When coal, oil and gas are burnt, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxides are created.
Forest degradation (habitat destruction) trees contribute to climate moderation by
absorbing atmospheric CO2. When trees are broken down and carbon contained in trees
is released into the air to contribute to the greenhouse effect, the beneficial impact is
gone.
Increased cattle farming numbers. They emit a lot of methane when cows and sheep
consume their meals.
Nitrogen fertiliser produces nitrous oxide emissions
Fluorinated gas emitting equipment and goods. The warming impact of these pollutants is
significant up to 23 000 times that of Carbon dioxide.
