INTRODUCTION Person centred counselling is also known as client centred counselling. It is a kind ofhumanistic approach which deals with different ways individual themselves consciously ratherthan how counsellor interpret their individual thoughts and ideas. Present essay is based onissues of diversity in person centred counselling. Diversity and equality is the negative impactwhich gives adverse results on students. Present essay discuss about the person centred approachwhich is very helpful to guide. MAIN BODY Community surrounding with many several cultures people which belongs from differentnature and environment (Bond, 2015). They having contrary caste, religion, gender, race etc.globalisation is the exposure of highly diverse population. Individual has their own needs andwants. Due to heavy population and having different people they may arise issues and conflictsbetween the persons. There are many issues which facing students and children in their day today life. In today's concept both identify and human diversity have become integral andimportant aspects of people. Peoples has various family structure and experiences in which theybrought up. It has significant differences in a place ethnicity, race, religion, gender and othernegative effects may impact on the student lives (Cooper and Dryden, eds., 2015). Besides,Diversity is considered an important factor which affects the student mental health which givesoverall impact on their environmental surroundings. Diversity is the negative term which affectsthe individual mental health which is not good for the future. In respect of that counsellor plays avery important and crucial role. With the help of counselling and human centred therapy it hasbecome easy to guide students in perfect manner. It helps to get the success of any outcomes oftherapy. Professional counsellor acknowledge the matter and give the best cure to the clients.World has become multicultural, multi-ethnic and multinational place which gives huge diversityand inequality between peoples. Moreover, the role of the counselling is very much effectivethey help people to motivate and encouraging in the context of positive manner. Besides, thereare some impacts which giving negative impact on the individual minds. Such as peoplesuffering from mental health problems due to inequalities. Men and women also suffering fromthe mental issues due to diversity in inequality (Corey, 2015). Women experiences fromdepression and anxiety. Women cannot seek take help from others as compare to men. Due towhich they tend to under depression. Likewise, Due to negative experiences with students and1
child in classrooms or any public area they cannot handle those situations properly and get intothe mental issues. Many of the population get die to due suffering from bad experiences and thereason behind is diversity in inequality (Douglas and et.al., 2016). People centred therapist is themost important aspects of delivering services that are culturally sensitive. Counselling is thesession which gives some guidelines and mental health care tips to those people who needed that.This may give relief to the people who surfers issues due to diversity in society. Theresponsibility of the therapists is not only aware of a client cultural differences they also have toguard against the tendency of traditional, western forms of therapy to give more services to theindividual. More apart there are various issues of diversity through which student take wrongaction and get into the trouble. Besides, client centred therapy has been criticized by thebehaviourists for lacking structure for actually providing a conditional relationship. This theoryis given by the Rogers in 1940 (Erford, 2017). This therapy helps person for self actualisingtendency. In counselling practises counsellor may faces different issues and factors which mayoccur issues and challenges such as cultural factors, economic factors, human behaviour etc.These factors may occur diversity in nature. Counselling is the way through which person getguidance and better methods to make its life normal. Besides, at the time of counselling sessionclient may facing diversity issues which gives negative impact on the mind. As already mentioned that person centred therapy is also known as client therapy inwhich individual take control of their self and enhance their self confidence. In this sessioncounsellor gives treatment and try to terminate the individual issues (Feltham, Hanley andWinter, eds., 2017). Counsellor needs to make sure that therapist is expected to be non-judgemental, empathetic and understanding. There are many children who suffered fromsexually abuse due to which they lost their way and mind setup (Person- centred therapy, 2018).For that, counsellors provides various approaches and techniques to make them happy again.Counsellor help client to uncover and express their own feelings. It is the duty of counsellor toexpected themselves in the clients position to understand the actual feelings of client. Thissession gives clients to think new positive way again. This therapy applied on the students whosurfers from anxiety, depression, alcohol, sexually abused adults. On the apart, during the sessionof counselling its may possible that due to person centred approach people facing the issue ofdiversity and inequality (Goodyear and et.al., 2016).
