INTRODUCTION Each organization has the dynamic work structure to manage the entire functions to meetgoals and objectives effectively. Besides this, there are several other aspects that are associatedwith the behaviour of the workforce who are engaged in performing the work related to their job(Cavanaugh and et.al., 2000). Organization comprises of different types of jobs that are assignedto the individual for the purpose to serve the growth perspective. As the nature of the work ischanging at a whirlwind speed, it is necessary to ascertain the proper functioning of theorganization. Many times, firm encounters several sorts of issues which are related to theworkforce and affect the overall functioning of the organization. The major widespread issuewhich is related to the poor performance of the organization is work stress which is associatedwith it.OVERVIEW:In simple terms, work stress can be defined as those factor which arises due to the changein the internal and the external forces of the work environment and become the challenge for theentire workforce (Vrijkotte and et.al., 2000). Stress at the work arises due to the conflict betweenthe employees as the demands are not fulfilled in an appropriate manner. However, work stressarises out of high demands in the job which is performed by the employee within theorganization with a very low amount of control to deal out with it. Work stress is related to thephysical and emotional response which occurs when the requirement of jobs are not fulfilledwith the capabilities and performance aspects of the employees. Thus, manpower is not able tomaintain the proper balance between the professional and personal life.The efforts which are made by the employee to meet the goals of the organization are notfulfilled by them as they are encountering the work stress which is hindering their overallperformance aspect to a greater extent. This also results in poor coordination as the entire workprocedure of the workforce is interrelated with each other (Melchior and et.al., 2007). Due tothis, individuals are not able to maintain the balance as they are facing intense burden over themand are not also able to meet the demands of the organization which are growing at a wider scale.Perhaps, many of the staffs are not able to deal with the stress; as they undergo to the workburden where obtained outcomes are in the form of work stress.1

FACTORS THAT GENERATE STRESS AMONG THE EMPLOYEESIn present era, workplace is adopting several means through which the entire working canbe enhanced in an effective manner. These ways are adopted to enhance the performance tosustain in the competitive environment. There is an enhancement of overall performance of theemployees that encounter with the work stress hinders the performance of the individual who areengaged to meet the goals and objectives of the business unit (Michie, 2002). With the intensecompetition, employees induces burden over themselves which is related to the work and therebyresult in the generation of stress factors among them. The major factors which are encounteredat the workplace are discussed underneath:Overload: It is the aspect which induces stress among the employees as they areoverloaded with the work which needs to be completed within the provided deadlines. Thus, thework which does not get completed in a proper form, as per the given guidelines may leads topoor quality results (Wang, 2005). Due to overload of the work, the employees are not able tomeet the work expectations, often as the result, the work are not managed in proper form as well.In the intense workload, the job within the entire business unit is not carried out in a smoothmanner as the employee is overloaded with the burden to carry out the entire operationalactivities in a proper form and meet the deadlines. Thus, it results in work stress.Control: Due to intense control over the entire work procedure, employees experiencepressure to perform the work which is allocated to them (Härmä, 2006). This influence the entireworking as they are not able to participate in the small decision making process. Whereas, idea toenhance the work procedure are not entitled by the higher authority which result in stress amongthem. Hence, the employees are not able to meet the performance targets as they are strictlycontrolled by the higher authority and entire work is performed under pressure. Work relationship: It is the major aspect that needs to be considered as it plays a veryimportant role in managing the entire work in a proper form. Many times, job role of oneemployee that is the HR manager requires regular interaction with each employee; as it providesproper picture to manage the working in proper form (Nelson and Simmons, 2003). In largeorganization, individual at the higher level within the firm take the advantage and adoptsbullying and aggressive ways to make the employees work. This causes work stress among theemployees and work relationship between the colleagues is hindered to a greater extent.2
