IT Infrastructure Management (Doc)_2
INTRODUCTIONThe term infrastructure in information technology refers to development of thetechnology based system within the company in order to deliver effective and efficientproductivity. This study will be based on the establishment of the effective IT infrastructure forCommonwealth bank which is going to develop a new branch in Sydney. It will help inunderstanding a Mixed geographical area in which network will be set up ion order to consumedifferent cloud services within the enterprise. Moreover, It will also providing a complete knowledge about identifying the IP addressand subnet masking of the systems used within the building. It will also provide a clearnetworking design for the Commonwealth bank Sydney branch. Also in order to store andmanipulate the data on cloud, this study will describe various cloud techniques that supports thevirtualisation. It will also explore Dynamic Scaling concept which supports cloud computing. MAIN BODY1. Geographical scope of the network along with network backbone diagram and variousnetwork segments, users and applicationThe scope of the network is referred to its geographical size and area which helps indescribing the actual size and scope up-to which the network will be utilised. In CommonwealthBank branch of Sydney, IT manager wants to establish a effective and Efficient networkinfrastructure within the firm where 8 floors are established and in each floor there are 30systems placed which requires interconnectivity with each other as well as the main server of thecompany (Andersen and et.al., 2018). In order to establish proper interconnectivity between theall the systems of the company, LAN networking is developed and then multiple Local areanetwork are interconnected with a common network that is Campus area network. 1

A backbone is a part of computer networks that are interconnected with various piece ofnetwork which provides the path for exchanging the information between different LANs andsubnetwork. A backbone can diverse allows diverse network to share the interconnectivity andexchange of information within same building of Commonwealth Bank of Sydney.Network segment in a computer networking is the practice of splitting system 2. Develop a logical designLogical design of the network refers to the IP addressing scheme used within the networkin order to develop a effective network design which provides the easy accessibility to user(Benitez, Ray and Henseler, 2018). Logical network design involves assessing the needs of thenetwork and serves as a basis for physical network infrastructure design for Commonwealthbank Sydney Branch which requires effective networking infrastructure. This design generallyvary according to the demands of the users. In order to establish a Typical hierarchical LAN network within Commonwealth bankSydney branch, IT manager has decided to develop a three hierarchical layered network. As thisis a 8 floor building which consists of 30 network each so it is required to divide the connectivitybetween three different layers which allows the easy accessibility and managed data on acentralised server. Three layer consists of Core layer, distribution layer and core layer.2Illustration 1: Campus Area Network that consists of multiple LANs
