IT Networking Architecture4 Scenario XYZ hospital is located in four floor plan building. The hospital has four major departments which are the finance department, IT department, medical services department, and the human resource department. The medical department has the highest number of employees who are 100 medical professionals. The finance department has 20 employees, the IT section has five employees, and the human resource department with 10 employees. All these members are required to be access wide area network and to connect to share one shared printer. Introduction This is a network design plan for XYZ hospital. The first part will give an overview of the organization. The second part will highlight a network design and floor plan of the building. The third part will show IP addresses and subnets, used devices and cable types. The last part will be a cost analysis of the whole project. Background of the organization XYZ hospital specializes in cancer consulting services. With the current technological needs, the current network infrastructure can’t cater for the organizational needs; the network do not meet the requirements of the modern network standards. Cat 4 type of cabling has been utilized. There no access to wireless access points. The hospital has only one server which is installed with windows server 2008. The user computers are installed with windows XP expect the IT department user computers with windows 7 professional. The organization utilizes only one switch to connect to all the PC computers in the organization.
