1. Project Goals
The project planning document aims in delivering a plan for the project of
implementing ERP in an organization. The goal of this ERP project is to understand
the requirement of ERP in an organization and planning its implementation in such a
manner that the new system smoothens the operations of the organization (Rajnoha
et al., 2014). An ERP is implemented in an organization to streamline all the
business operations that the organization involves. The goal of this project is to
choose a suitable Vendor who will manage the entire implementation process of the
ERP. The project will further involve training the staffs of the organization so that it
becomes easier for them to understand the operational process of the ERP system
that is proposed.
2. Project Objectives
The identified objectives of the ERP project are indicated as follows-
 To identify the operational needs of ERP
 To Choose an appropriate vendor
 To migrate the existing data
 To implement and ERP system
 To deliver training to the employees
The project planning document is developed in accordance to the above
identified objectives. The critical success factor of the undertaken project
encompasses all the above identified project objectives. The requirements of the
project is identified on basis of the goals and the objectives of the project.
3. Project Requirements
For executing the ERP project in a planned manner, it is crucial to identify
and categorize the functional and the non-functional requirements of the system.
For this ERP project, the functional as well as the non-functional requirements are
identified in the following sections.

3.1. Functional Requirements
The functional requirements of any project is based on system’s functionality.
The functional requirements of the ERP implementation project is indicated as
follows-
1. The system to be implemented should be aligned with the operational
need of the company
2. The system should be able to streamline all the vital operations within the
organization
3.2. Non Functional Requirements
The non-functional requirement is quite distinct from the functional
requirement of a system as it is based on the operations of a system. It is judged on
basis of certain particular conditions. The non-functional requirements of the ERP
implementation project are indicated as follows-
1. The system should incorporate an easy interface so that it becomes easier
for the staffs to use it.
2. The system should have a high throughput to ensure increase in the
effectiveness of the operations running within the organization.
The designing of the ERP system to be developed is based on both the
functional and the non-functional requirement of the system.
4. Team members’ Skills and Expertise
For execution of this project, a group of three members are formed. The skills
and the expertise of each members of the ERP project are indicated in the following
table-
