Introduction
The IT service management or ITSM is the activity related to the implementation,
management along with the delivery of the various services of information technology for
meeting and satisfying the needs of an organization. It also helps in ensuring the suitable
mixtures of the methods, processes, people and the technology are present there in place for
providing the values (Arcilla et al., 2013). In simple words IT services management or ITSM is
referred to as the procedure of helping a business to run. It is one of the major functionalities for
all the organizations because it helps the organization in achieving the higher satisfaction of the
customer.
It also helps in reducing the time of delivery and support of service is provided by them.
The main aim of the report is exploring the several aspects of IT services management in a
company which is successful in providing the services related to IT. This report focuses on the
numerous methods in which the proposition of business can be enhanced by the IT services
management.
This report aims for evaluating one practical case in context of the best practices of the IT
service management and understanding the process in which business is created by these
particular services along with the development and enhancement of service management in
exercise (Cots & Casadesús, 2015). The report also aims for planning and implementation of the
improvement of the service management in practice. The topic selected here the Commonwealth
Bank of Australia.

Discussion
Basically, the most important objective of the IT service management is to be confirmed
about the technology, people and processes are present in the respective places for assuring that
the goals of business are achieved by the particular organization (Franke, Johnson & König,
2014). It is applicable in practice by few processes like continuous improvement, maintaining the
security of the information, usage of the structured workflows for certain events, holistic
thoughts.
The key points of the IT service management is the information technology which
consists of service providers or products, service which is a source of delivering the value to the
customers by the process of nurturing the results that is desired by the customers to gain without
requiring any sort of ownership of certain amount of risks or costs, customer who is responsible
for paying money for utilizing the services and products related to information technology and
last but not the least comes the user who utilizes the IT services and products without making
any monetary payment (Cots, Casadesús & Marimon, 2016). Common disciplines as well as the
standards are shared among the groups of people under the IT service management on the basis
of high knowledge levels along with the skills which are earned from the various schemes of
education which is organized and in turn supported by the experienced training.
With the help of conventional qualification, these are recognized as well as measured
(Franke, Johnson & König, 2014). The IT service management can be termed as a single
profession which tries to obtain the utilization of its impact through the process of developing a
guidance regarding the good practices along with the advices for improving the performance
standards in their filed. Most of the frameworks of IT service management focus on the logic of
the information security of being integrated fully into a particular organization.
