2. Strategic Assessment
The purpose of the assessment is to determine the future of the ICT implementation and
making the blue print for completing the implementation within 2025. The current system
of the university is largely dependent on the manual system. However, after the
implementation of the information management system and the ICT embedded training
system, the managing of the functionality of the university will become flexible.
During the implementation of the system, certain constraints can be faced by the project
management team. In order to identify the assessment, internal and external factors has
been discussed.
The primary input of defining the strategy are-
Improvement of the education system in XYZ University.
Making better position in competitive market.
Providing students high quality of education.
2.1 Internal Factors
In order to identify the strengths and weakness of the implementation for the university,
internal analysis can be done.
The following internal factors have been identified:
Existing system in the university: The existing system of the XYZ university is largely
dependent on the manual process. The data and the information of the organization is
managed by the system that needs the manual assistance. Apart from that the education
system in the university is inclined to the traditional process of teaching. However, there is
a need for the system to become interactive.
Data management system: The data management system which is used by the university for
the official purpose is based on the traditional database system. Apart from that the
university is currently facing the problems regarding the storage of data. All these
challenges are needed to be overcome.
Providing the education to the students: The education provided to the students are done in
the traditional way.
2.2 External Factors
External analysis is done in order to identify the threats and opportunities from the external
sources.

Industry and Market Analysis. It has been seen that most of the educational
institutions are adopting the use of interactive audio visual system for teaching the
students. Apart from that for the management of the data and information the
universities are also using different data managing applications which are
developed through the emerging technologies. The market analysis indicates that
the use of the information technology can be helpful for XYZ university to perform
better in the competitive market.
Stakeholders: The stakeholders in this case are the professors and the teaching staffs
of the university along with the students of the university. It has been seen that all

the new system. However, there are certain challenges regarding the use of the new
system. The employees of the managing committee of the organization may be
unaware about the usage of the new system. The same problem can be faced by the
professors and the teaching staffs of the organization. In this case, proper training
can be given to the stakeholders regarding the new system.
Competitors. The main competitors of the organization are the other universities
those are also adopting the digital disruption in the teaching process and
management of data.
Legislation and Regulation. In order to maintain the standard of the
implementation, it has been proposed by the managing committee to impose some
of the standardization. The selection of the standardization will be based on the type
of the implementation. Apart from that during the implementation of the system, the
use of authorized software is needed to be done.
Technology. The technology which will be implemented in the system will be of
emerging type. This will help the organization to get the smart system.
2.3 Market Spaces
Market space can be defined by the scope through which the modification and the improvisation
of the system can deliver the benefits to the organization. It this context it can be said that there
is different scopes and opportunities that can be achieved through this implementation. The
