INTRODUCTION
In this digital era, companies use range of tools and techniques which in turn helps to
improve the business performance and engage customer for a long term. Also, the current study
will help to gain a better understanding regarding IT and their use in travel industry. For that,
TUI Travel Plc will be chosen which one of the top British Leisure companies who provide best
tour packages for the company. Also, the report will determine different application software
used by the business and various ethical as well as social issues faced by the company during the
digital age. Further, report will describe different types of networking technologies are also used
by the company and impact of artificial intelligence for raise business performance. Lastly, study
will explain different stage o software development life cycle.

1. Different types of application software used by travel industry
As per the view of Bogner and et.al., (2019) with the changing era, each industry focuses
upon IT sector and this in turn causes direct impact over the business. Similarly, travel industry
is also uses range of software for booking purpose and meets the need of customers. As there are
wide variety of software available and each company uses the same according to their need.
Hendarman and Cantner (2018) reflected their views and stated that Galileo is a best software
application system that is owned for computer reservation system, however it is used by airlines
for increasing their booking and meet the demand of customers.
In addition to this, Travel Agency Software is application software that help travel
companies to manage bookings, package customization. Argal and et.al., (2018) shared their
views and stated that with the help of this tool, company increases the sales and finances to
increasing bookings. Sadath, Karim and Gill (2018) explained that Rezdy is cloud based B2B
solutions which help tour operators to sell their product online or by using multiple distribution
networks. This in turn also provide different facilities to the customers which include payment,
billing with a reasonable discount.
Perelygina, Kucukusta and Law (2022) critically evaluated that Travel work is another

2. Explained Ethical and social issues are increasingly becoming important in the digital world.
Information technology are very common for the society and all the sectors are depended
on the IT. According to Chege and Wang, (2020) it has been analyzed that there are some
of the ethical and social issues which are becoming important in the digital world. On the
basis of digitization every aspect of life connected with information technology such as
internet, advertisement and marketing purpose of organization etc. Some of the ethical
issues are related to the benefits for the customer so that it helps to greater access to
convenience and information such as students are habitual for internet searching in order to
getting educational knowledge. There are so many organizations which are using robotics
that are very common and it helps to attract the customer and help to do the easy work. The
social issues are related urbanization and provide employment. Urbanization is related to
people are adopting more newer technologies which are help to solve their daily life
problem, women are using internet for seeing videos for cooking and getting general
knowledge. Along with this, digital technologies are help to provide employment to the
people such as online marketing, creating social media content, SEO (search Engine
optimization) etc.
3 Different types of networking technologies
Wei and et.al., (2022) shared that Personal Area Network is the most common type off
network technology which is used by small business and also revolve around one person in a
single building. This is also used in residential areas in order to connect one device from another.
Wang and Wang (2022) investigated in their study that Local Area Network is second type of
network where computers connect at short distance i.e. between group of two or three building in
order to share the information.
The third type of network Metropolitan Area network which is more larger than LAN
because it is used in geographic areas. This is mainly used where business or ownership is
handled by single person. On the other side, Yan, Zhang and Liu (2022) shared their views
that Wide area Network is a forth type of network technology which help in connecting
computer together at longer physical distance. This network is mainly used to connect large
network in order to make effective communication between the people who are miles apart.

4 Discuss the impact of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing the business operations,
Artificial intelligence (AI) encompasses the demonstration with the help of machines that are
opposed with the natural intelligence that displayed in animals and humans. In the simple

solve the problem. According to Chouki, Okar and Chroqui, (2022) there is a positive impact
