Abstract
In E-commerce Industry, Organization is looking for core competence by using a suitable
process which is needed for information collection of the customer. It is mainly done for
collection of information about the customers along with understanding their purchasing trend.
The report is all about evaluation of how Amazon can make use of Management Information
System (MIS) for attaining competitive advantage. It can be done through proper management
and gathering of information. In the coming pages, the features of MIS have been highlighted in

competencies by making use of unique process needed for data collection about customers. It is
all about analyzing their purchasing trends (Laudon & Laudon, 2016). MIS practices will
Amazon in achieving competitive advantage through proper practices and information
acquisition. Overall uniqueness of MIS has been highlighted in the report along with
understanding technology, process and various system in Amazon (Noe et al., 2017). It is being
in use right from the initiation phase of the project until the payment and delivery model that is
being selected. Management Information System (MIS) can help Amazon in integrating effective
and efficient way for bringing out strategy between the effective way from bringing out
interaction between people and information system (Wager, Lee & Glaser, 2017). MIS can easily
facilitate management decision at both the level of the organization is Strategic and Operational.
In this situation, amazon can highlight the alignment of information system with overall strategy
of Amazon. The organization is considered to be fine for tuning the E-strategy by keeping the
website upgraded from the older one.
In the coming pages, a literature review has been taken with respect to implementation of
MIS in Amazon. Both the method of data collection that primary and secondary has been
