There are primarily two policies that are violated in the incident that has been described. The
first is the non-compliance with the organizational ethical codes and the second is the
discrimination in the organization due to ineffective diversity management.
It is stated in the law that all people are subjected to equal right to work and be involved in
the professional tasks. Anti-Discrimination Act, 1991 is one such act that states the same.
However, the team did not comply with the same as the non-Christian employees were not
invited to the party.
Also, there are some of the ethical and professional codes of conduct that the employees of an
organization must follow. In this case, these ethical codes have been violated with the
violation of the principles as professionalism and professional development.
There are changes in the internal policies that may be done to treat such cases of violation
and non-compliance. The compliance rates shall be synced with the employee appraisal.
Also, the leadership shall utilize the different styles to maintain and manage the diverse
workforce in the organization (English, Manton & Walker, 2011).
The enhanced communication of the techniques and the associated mechanisms will provide
the ability to keep a track of such issues and the management will also be effectively done.

The scenario that has been reported is the case of discrimination on the basis of the cultural
background and race of the employees. Such a case may further lead to increased conflicts
among the staff members during the discussion of the issues in a formal meeting. The
violation of ethical codes as professionalism may be observed. The lack of communication
and collaboration may also be observed.
The management and leaders shall take the ownership to resolve the issue and come up with
the mechanisms to give unbiased decisions. The use of cross-cultural style of leadership shall
be done along with the discussion on the repercussions of the violation of the ethical and
legal codes and standards in the organization (Edwards & Fredriksson, 2017).
