What are some of the important mechanisms Johnson & Johnson uses for promoting ethics in
their firm?
Maintaining the strong work ethics is a sign of loyalty for the company and Johnson and
Johnson Company is also no exception to this fact. When it comes to their customers they are
very specific about maintaining strong work ethics. The first and foremost step taken by Johnson
and Johnson is anti-corruption and anti-bribery. They are strongly against the illegal and
provocative offerings from any individual or other company (James et al., 2019). The customer
services are on top of their list.
They strongly abide by the health compliance policies. In order to keep up to date with
the advanced health care policies and the code of business conducts the employees are trained in
every two years. The wellbeing of the patients and the doctors who are consuming the products
by the Johnson and Johnson Company is the most important liability of the company.
Based on the videos and the case, would you define Johnson & Johnson as an “integrity
organization” or a “compliance organization” organization, or both? Explain your answer.
Based on the case we can say that the Johnson and Johnson is both, that is an integrity
and compliance organization. For enhancing the business practises in the organisation, the
company has certain compliance policies helps in keeping the employees of the organization
together (Tan, 2017). The compliance policies of the company ensures that the systems are
adhering to the rules and regulation. However, the company supports simple integrity amongst
the team member leading them to the success.
