The article set out to locate the small businesses that are set up in communities with lowpopulations which is less than ten thousand. The article lays the attention on managing the familybusinesses in small communities. The article intends to examine the research that was conductedon this and analyze the strategies that was formed by the managers of this business type. Theory: Does the article use any theoretical framework related to Business Strategy? If yes,explain the framework briefly. What are the strengths and weakness of the framework? The article uses a framework to examine the strategies that was used by the business thatis owned by the family. It explains the planning of the objectives and defines the functions androles of the managers. The strength of the framework is it helps to determine the managerial functions. Theweakness of the framework is it gives rise to few question, which are not clear about the

Methodology: What methodology have the authors used to collect data? Is the article cross cultural? If yes please explain why you think it is cross cultural. In order to collect the data the author have used the method of survey. The article is notcross-cultural. It is restricted to one group of business makers and this is the reason it is notcross-cultural.Data Analysis: How were the data analysed? In other words what statistical tools wereused? The data were analyzed by using the method of univariate analysis method and the clusteranalysis method.Findings and conclusion:At the end of the research it can be stated that the four functional management activitieswere not completely captured as separate strategies. While analyzing the research this was foundthat the first group of managers practiced and controlling the strategies. It was also found that thefamily business management was less engaged in the management functions. What were the findings and conclusion draw from the article? From the article it can be concluded that the family business operated in smallcommunities and they played an increasing role in the strengthening of the economies in therural communities.
