Key things that are been learned
In the last two weeks, I could be able to understand the main principles of constitution
relating to the separation of the powers. With respect to 3rd unit, I gain knowledge about 3
discrete components that includes executive, Legislative and the judiciary. This unit helped me
in understanding the principle of separating the powers and in determining different aspects of
British constitution which violates this power. It also developed my learning with regard to the
constitution of British which accord with this particular power and an overall importance of
power separation in British constitution. Moreover, in unit 4, I learned about the rule of law and
conception of Dicey in relation to the law rule. I also develop deeper insights regarding the
criticism attached with conception of Dicey’s rule of the law and also its application to the
constitution of British.
The manner in which the things relates to workplace
The principle for separation of power relates to the workplace in many ways such as the
legislative function in producing contract which helps developing the proper agreement between
the dealers in the business so that fraud cannot be happen in any case. The executive element
reflects branch of the government having no any autonomous powers for making the law by way
of legislation. The judiciary section depicts that if any individual at the workplace is facing any
type of unfair practice or action, they could seek for a remedy in ordinary court of land. Further,
rule of law also relates to premises of work in terms of expressing the preferences of the people
regarding the 2 main political issues which depicts the relationship between the government and
the citizens.
Stating the way in which they could help in professional and personal development
The rule of the law consist of the number of principles of the procedural & formal
character, addressing the manner in which the society or community is been governed. Formal
principles are concerned with clarity, publicity, generality, prospectively and stability of all the
norms which governs a specific society. The procedural guidelines concerned with the process
through which such norms are been administered and an institutions such as independent
judiciaries and courts which their administration needs. This helps in developing the professional
advice to the others regarding the rules and performing the task in compliance of such rule so
that work can be done ethically.
Stating specific situation with examples
The rule of the law is just not about the government but it also needs that the citizens
must respect & comply with the legal norms even in case when they seem as disagree with them.
At the time when their interest conflict with the others, they must accept the legal determinations
of what their duties and rights are. Also a law must be same for all so at no one remains above
law and every people has to access the protection of the law.
