Factors keeping the passion of book reading alive In the digital and social media era book reading is getting lost in the darkness, however still there are passionate lovers who are keeping this passion alive. The quick rise in Netflix viewing and digital content is significantly reducing the time which was earlier devoted to book reading. From children to middle age people the practice is gradually diminishing and more efforts are paid to view screens or printed media. When parents and guardians used to tell stories even though they are lengthy through book reading then it makes children familiar and excited about book reading. Contrary to this the present generation used to consider iPads or phones as more essential part for teaching children at young age only. Thus modern children never understand the excitement of reading books for few days andthe positive outcomes of reading good books. Thus even if book reading is gradually losing its pace, the emotional connectivity and excitement of the readers is still keeping this habit alive and popular among its followers. The book reading practices also develop as matter of interest among individuals. There are children who love reading books from very young age and this habit is developedand promoted throughout the life. The decline in number and craze of book reading does not affect the existing practices followed by its readers. The emotional connectivity with books and the excitement of finding hidden conclusions and ending in long pages books still inspire plenty of readers to continue the reading practice. 2
