Introduction
Children age between 3-5 years thinks and imagine in
symbolic manner. In this age children have
difficulty with complex thoughts. During their
development, kitchen safety and security is very
essential because in this age they are unaware about
the risk and injuries within kitchen. In order to
provide protection to the children in the kitchen,
parents plays a very crucial role as they should
provide education and awareness to their child so as
they can escape from uncertain risk and injury in
the kitchen. In this present discussion, issues and
development need for this age children has been
systematically addressed with help of a story book.
With help of this book, various issues and
development need within the children in the kitchen
aspect has studied. On this presentation, an
effective knowledge to protect the children from the
hazard and risk in the kitchen has been addressed.

Story Book
• In this story book, the protection and
guideline for the children safety and
security within the kitchen has been
provided. This story books defines the
kitchen safety to create an awareness in the
children about the safety issue in the
kitchen.
• With help of this story book children are
able to connect with the characters and
colours in the base of their development
mile stores.
• Also if parents are well aware of these
safety issues, precaution then they can keep
secure their children

kitchen. Story book is an important
method of teaching by which parents can
provide education to the children about
their hazard and risk in the kitchen which
can harm to children.

During the age of 3 to 5, children are in
the development stage at which they are
unaware about the risk and hazard at the
kitchen.

There are various issues related to the
safety of children in kitchen:

• Psychological issues

Development
No other room is as dangerous as compare to Kitchen. Erik
Krikson development theory states that parents have to
take actions as per the development stage of kids. There
are various ways that can help in minimizing such
hazardous activities and can keep kids protected.
• Parents should cook with back burner.
• Positive behaviour of parents
• Development of moral realism
• Safety Education
• Proper placing of equipments
• Effective supervision
• Modifying home environment

Conclusion
• The above study it can be concluded that parents need to be aware with the safety issues and they must
supervise their kids during their activities.
• Children take it as fun when they come to kitchen with their mothers or elders.
• Kids are curious learners and good observer they can copy their parents. So whenever their kids are in kitchen
with them then elders needs to guide them properly and have to make them aware with right and wrong. This an
help in protecting kids from injuries.
