INTRODUCTION Success is an important aspect for every individual and in order to be successful, it is important to possess the right knowledge as well as creativity(Ayllón, Gómez and Ballesta-Claver, 2016). This can not only affect the individual’s academic rapport, but also professional growth. The internet has led to an increase in the rate of people using someone else’s work and presenting the same as their own. Communication Skills Communication skills are important and enable people to communicate important informationwithotherseffectively(BrečkaandČerveňanská,2016).Good communication skills are essential in order to understand information in a more accurate and enhanced manner. On the other hand, if a person will have poor communication skills, it will lead to creation of misunderstanding among people. This can further impact the overall performance and productivity of the individual in a negative way.
Presentation Skills This is an important skill that is needed in order to deliver an engaging and effective presentation. In order to deliver a high-quality and interesting presentation, it is important for the speaker to have knowledge about the topic that is being presented as well as the audience(Dong and et. al., 2017). A person can develop presentation skills by practice and attending other presentations to deepen knowledge regarding the same. Curriculum Vitae (CV) A CV is a document that is created by an individual in order to present their qualifications, background, skills and accomplishments. It is basically presented in order to get the desired job(Groza, Locander and Howlett, 2016). A CV that is effectively developed in detail can impress recruiters because it acts as first direct communication with them. While sending out a CV for a job, it should always be updated and contain recent experience of the person. Academic integrity is highly important because it demonstrates that others can trust the individual. Apart from this, it is also important because it adds value to the person’s degree(Kohon, 2018). A person can demonstrate academic integrity by being honest, sincere and respecting other people’s work. Reading Skills Reading skills can be defined as a person’s ability to read words or a text and interpret the meaning. Possessing good reading skills help an individual in developing creativity and imagination. These skills also help in enhancing the self-image of a person. Reading also helps the person in improving their overall vocabulary as well as spelling. Also, thinking skills of a person develop when they read good and informative text or passage.
Active Listening This is a kind of technique that is basically used in training, counselling etc. and requires the listener to concentrate and properly understand to what is being said (Loewenstein and Mueller, 2016). This is an important skill because it helps in people to become better communicators. It helps in understanding the perceptions or emotions of another person and also, in resolving conflicts. CONCLUSION From the above report, it can be concluded that knowledge and creativity are important contributors to the overall success of an individual. A person should have various skills so that they can stand out from others. In order to complete a task or assignment within the given time frame, a person should have effective time management skills. hand is a technique that helps an author or a writer in informing the readers about their learning from a particular experience. Reflection writing is most commonly used in academic writing and is a great way to encourage a person to write what they’ve learnt from an experience. A CV or curriculum vitae is an important document for students at a university because it contains details about qualifications, experience, education and skills of the person.
