It includes topics such as referencing, SWOT analysis, CV writing, research skills, email writing, thinking into character, reflection, literature review, PESTLE analysis, communication, academic writing, and group presentation.

SUMMARY
This portfolio is based on the module Fy026 as it is depends on the understanding of
different topics and detailed in a well structured. With the help of this portfolio I have learned
many new things and developed my entire skills and knowledge which helped me to enhance my
knowledge as a student and a person. I have studied about the concept of knowledge and
creativity in which I understood about both concepts. As knowledge refers to the familiarity,
understanding or awareness of something like facts, information, skills and description that is
gained through education or experience by learning. Whereas, creativity is termed as a
phenomenon whereby something new and valuable is created that may be physical object or
intangible. The knowledge of something is more valuable when it combined with the creativity
because it is an essential ability which enables me to create or form reality. For this portfolio I
have to identify entire market and prevailing several situations as well as market trends can be
analysed with which I can able to prepared my own personal development plans. This plan
helped in increasing skills and knowledge that can improve my decision-making capability for
handling many challenges that will faced.
In this portfolio report several topics studied that I have used or will be used in future as
well that will aid me in finding opportunities as well as challenges. SWOT analysis assists in
ascertaining my strong and weak are along with the opportunities and threats through which I
can properly analyse that what skills I have to enhance in me for grabbing all market
opportunities in future. In order to increase the chances of success I need to developed some
more skills and abilities which are arises due to the globalisation, technological advancement etc.
Creativity is more important than a knowledge because knowledge is limited and imagination
giving birth to evolution as well as embrace the entire world. Being creative or imaginative assist
me to become a good problem solver in my personal as well as professional life as it helps in
dealing with uncertainties in a better way.
I had prepare my own curriculum vitae though which I could show my abilities to the
interviewer so that they can able to examine my capabilities clearly towards the specific job role.
Some other topics or documents are includes group presentation, academic writing, Email
writing, communication etc. that reflects effective communication an modes which is essential
for conveying messages to the others. Through this entire summary of this portfolio I can able to
express my entire experience with others in an effective manner. Moreover, I have studied about

research skill which are essential to conduct research in an appropriate manner as with the help
of this I could collect reliable and valuable informations on a specific topics with the proper
citation of references. Along with this, it is most significant to know the importance of literature
review and reflection as this will assist in preparing research report and can be improved
research quality also.

1) REFERENCING.
Referencing refers to the method which is consistent of acknowledging the ideas of
another person's that is used in own writing. All assignment or reports must reference all sources
which used in their work as it includes words, facts, videos, images, ideas, thoughts, data,
statistics, diagrams, audio and websites as well. As I used referencing in my project reports in
order to ensure that this report contains several information which is without plagiarism and
demonstrate the detailed understanding of research as well as facilitate strength and support to
their arguments or information (Abe, 2019). I prepared several reports or research for which
citations are done of respective references. As this helped me a lot in gaining good marks along
with the authentic information. Moreover, the referencing is important for my research work as it
allows to declare the other writers or researchers contribution in particular work .

2) SWOT.
SWOT analysis refers to the technique which is used for the strategic planning in order to
aid individual or organisation to analyse their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities as well as
threats regarding to the planning and business competition. Whereas, IKEA is a well known
company across the world that is a Swedish company which offers inexpensive products for
home (Phadermrod2019). This analysis helped me in identifying internal and external aspects
that can impact on the viability of project, place or persons. On the basis of SWOT analysis the
personal development plan can be developed that will help me in accomplishing the personal as
well as professional goals and objectives. I used this analysis in determining the own capabilities
and skills along with the weak areas of mine that is required for doing effective research.

3) CV WRITING.
Curriculum Vitae refers to the personal marketing document that is used by an individual
in order to sell themselves to the likely employers. It includes the personal, educational as well as
professional history along with the skill, achievements, abilities etc. The main aspect of CV is
the summary or the objective of doing job which helped me in getting job (McGuire, 2019). In
order to write a good CV there is the requirement of correct and right information as it begins
with personal profile or objectives, relevant work experience, key achievements, languages,
awards and so on. The preparation of CV is needed for me in order to inform employer about my
personal informations, skills, interest etc. in order to get an effective interview for a particular
job for which I have applied.

4) RESEARCH SKILL.
It is defined as an ability to search, gather, analyse as well as evaluate all the informations
which is relevant to the particular subject matter that being studied by an individual. Research is
essential for me in order to shape my future and it teaches several new things as well as helps to
adopt and evolve. As I required several research skills that helped in getting productive results
for my research work such as communication, technical, critical thinking, interviewing, planning,
attentive, scheduling and so on. A good investigation must be open minded and adopt critical
way of thinking which is used for the purpose of inform actions (Willison, 2018). I must required
always high quality of research in order to produce valuable knowledge which is applicable
externally of research.

5) EMAIL WRITING.
Email defined as a method of arranging, sending, sorting as well as receiving messages
over the electric communication system or mode. As email also known as electronic mail that is
mostly preferred for the means of communication as it is cheaper and faster. Email can be formal
and informal as well, an informal mail is written to friends, family members or relatives by using
casual and polite words with the proper greetings as well as closing as per the formats of
informal mails (Tonegawa, 2019). Whereas, formal writing mails should contains proper subject
line, salutation, main body text as well as signature and message must be concise and short in
form. As I took more sessions for developing my email writing skills so that I can able to convey
message in less words and effective manner this will give more success in my future also.

6) THINKING INTO CHARACTER.
It is defined as a transformational program which will support personal development as
well as it aids in setting personal, educational, professional and career goals. It is termed as a
proven methodology that helps in creating success and the self fulfilment of individual. As this
helped me a lot as it is designed to assist in thinking better, set and accomplish valuable goals as
well as take actions that will lead to happy and productive future as well. This program aided me
in filling the skills gap that were needed to reach that level which I required to accomplish.
Sometimes, these thinking may for a variety of reasons that become unhelpful as well as
adversely impacts on the well being of person (Ching, 2018).

7) REFLECTION.
It is related to that what I actually learned from the entire research procedure as well as
how these experience has assisted to shape me as a scholar. Reflecting defined as a placing a
piece of self reflective writing that is becoming a most significant aspect of any kind of learning.
This will help me in developing skills and review its effectiveness which I have followed for
peer assessment. As reflective statement consider as an academic style of writers in which they
emphasise on past events and describe about what they have learned form it (Brañas-Garza,
2019). I have utilised the reflection in completing several projects through which I could
effectively communicate my learnings as well as experiences from project undertakings. Also. It
allows me to display that I can critically thinking about my on skills as well as abilities in order
to learn and enhance them.

8) LITERATURE REVIEW.
It is defined as a comprehensive summary of a research related to the specific topic.
Literature review surveys articles, books, scholarly as well as other sources that is relevant to the
specific problem or research area. It includes theoretical base of research tasks which assist me in
determining the nature of investigation. The literature review facilitates a clear description,
summary as well as evaluation of all the sources that have been I used in my research work. The
main purpose of literature review is to summarise existing study which has been conduct on a
specific subject to put effective research (Hart, 2018). It plays a most significant role in my
research study because it shows how investigation is related to my prior research in statistics as it
displays relevance and originality towards the problem on which I have studied.

9) PESTLE ANALYSIS.
This analysis is considered as a most effective tool that is used by the company to
measure the macro-environmental factor which include political, economic, social,
technological, legal and environmental factors of the organisation. I have used this analysis to get
to know about the external factor and make the strategies, policy, plans, etc. for my personal
development and growth (SHTAL, 2018). This helped me a lot in formulating appropriate
strategies that is required for the productive and valuable outcomes of research study. I think it is
essential for me to analyse the external factors as it helped me in proper understanding of
outsiders environment which required to develop my overall personality as per the external
market requirements.

10) COMMUNICATION.
It is a way to conveys clear and proper message from one person to other person or
group by using signs, symbols, gestures, body language etc. A communication is completed
when the message is conveyed and clearly understand by the others thus also known as sending
or receiving of information. Communication include sender, coder, message, decoder, receiver
and feedback (Wong, 2019). I used proper communicational channel for convey message in an
appropriate manner as a student I convey my project summary to the all classmates and teacher
in a precise and simple way. This helped me in effectively communicate my project summary
and gives a clear understanding to all that results in appropriate outcomes.

11) ACADEMIC WRITING.
It is also known as a scholarly writing which is related to the any writing finished to meet
the requirements of college or universities. As academic writing is used for the publications
which is seen by teacher and investigators as it is presented at conferences. The main purpose of
academic writing is to present valuable information for facilitating the clear knowledge and
understanding about a particular topic. I have scholarly learned from my overall experience
which it require to be accurate and evidenced as well as use of correct spellings, grammar must
be better as this make my content effective at all and fulfil all the project requirements in well
manner. There are several kinds of writings but each of them have their specified object and
purpose (Lillis, 2016).

12) GROUP PRESENTATION.
A presentation refers to the mode of communication which can be used to numerous
situations regarding speaking such includes talking, addressing and briefing the content on a
specific topic. Whereas, group presentation defined as that kind of thing which is given in a team
of two or more persons. I feel that my confidence is lacking when I have to present my entire
knowledge in front of others so that I took more sessions that helped me in enhancing the
presentation skill. In addition, the presentation requires a clear message across to the leaders that
will contains a persuasive aspects in it (Stephenson, 2015). In order to present something in front
of people me and my team members need a presentor, audience, message, reactions, methods as
well as skills which helped us in making effective presentation and spread detailed and clear
understanding about a specific content or topic.
