achieving the project objectives according to project
acceptance criteria within the agreed parameters. It
involves planning, executing, regulating, closing and
guiding the operations of the project team towards the
achievement of goals and objectives within the scope,
time, budget and quality set. This report shall cover the
proposal of the project relating to improving the
delivery service in Selcon Builders Warehouse.
Selco Builders Warehouse is the builder's merchant for
the tradespeople and business only. In 2016 and 2017, the
organisation was awarded with National Merchant of the
year from Builders Merchant News award. The company
is headquartered in Birmingham in England. The
organisation have grown into the highly competitive and
have become respected trade only builders merchant. It
has its 66 branches spanning in four regions in England
and Wales which offers around 15000 products for the
collection and delivery in branch and online. It has many
variety of services which includes next day free delivery,
brick matching, paint mixing, sheet cutting, project list
and the account management.
A project is being undertaken by the company in
order to improve the delivery service so that it can
become the faster and satisfy the needs of the customers.
For this purpose, a project manager is being appointed by
the company in order to figure out the ways in which the
company can improve its delivery service.

experience. The importance of delivery management is

service so that customer loyalty can be maintained
which on other side will improve the goodwill of
company and help in attracting and engaging new

of the company is reached to the customer on time.
This will help in saving the time and efforts of the
team so that they can work on other things of the
company.
Selco Builders Warehouse must also inculcate good
delivery management where it can ensure fast and improved
delivery service for the customer so that they can retain the
consumers for longer time period and engage new customers
increase their business.
