Introduction
Knowledge Management tools refer to the system that organizations make use of for
the purpose of sharing of information either internally or externally. Content management
system helps in managing creation and modifies the digital content. It helps in supporting
various users within a collaborative environment. This essay discusses about the content
management system and it uses the Nonaka and Takeuchi’s SECI model that can help in
sharing knowledge within an organization. It elaborates whether the knowledge management
tool would be able to support big data.
Review of Content Management System
Content management system (CMS) helps in supporting separation of content along
with that of presentation. The features of CMS can vary widely. CMS is inclusive of format
management, editing of history, indexing along with retrieval. The web content management
system helps in supporting content pertaining to the web pages. The content management
system by making use of software publication or the related programs can manage the digital
content (Santoro et al. 2017). They prove to be useful for enterprise content management
along with web content management. The content management system can help in turning the
scanned paper document into the PDF document. CMS helps in revising the features that
helps in updating of the content and the contents are edited after the process of initial
publication with the aid of CMS. It helps in the arena of intuitive indexing and indexes the
data for the purpose of easy access with the help of search functions. It helps users in
searching various attributes like publication date and keyword (Séin-Echaluce et al. 2015).
The publishing functionality related to CMS can help the individuals in suing
template that can assist in the process of modification of content. The CMS helps in
providing tools for facilitating that of one-to-one marketing. This knowledge management

tool helps a website of tailoring the content and it helps in advertising to specific
characteristics pertaining to the user. The CMS has different features like SEO-friendly URL,
discussion board along with group-based permission system. There are customizable
templates along with admin panel that helps in the aspect of multiple language support
(Priefer, Kneisel and Taentzer 2016). The CMS helps in providing different capabilities
pertaining to various users having various kinds of permission level that can help in
managing of content. The various kinds of functionalities that are performed by CMS is in
relation to the creating, editing and the archiving pertaining to the web pages, press release,
blogs and articles.
Nonaka and Takeuchi’s SECI model and content management system
SECI model is indicative of a conceptual model which was proposed by that of
Nonaka. It was later on expanded by that of Nonaka along with Takeuchi. The model helps in
explaining how the generation of tacit knowledge takes place within an organization. This
model consists of four modes pertaining to the conversion of knowledge: socialization,
externalization, combination along with internalization. The content management system can
help in sharing of tacit knowledge within the people of “social interacting space”.
Externalization helps in the articulation of the tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge by
making use of diagrams. The content management system helps in triggering a dialogue that
can help in the creation of concepts from that of tacit knowledge (Hwang, Chung and Shin
2018). The content management system can help in making the changes related to design that
can assist in the incorporation of environmental changes. The content management system
can help in updating the website and it proves to be useful in the aspect of website content
delivery. Superior site architecture can help in the process of integration of concepts that
makes the web designing more client-centric. Knowledge can be crystallized with the help of
