Q1 Explain the principals of equality and diversity and how to apply them
when working and communicating with others (AC1.4)
In UK Kingdom to champion and define equity, human rights and diversity as
society’s values defining, the term “Equity and Diversity” is used. It promotes a
universal opportunity equality universally, giving every individual the chance of
achieving their potential leaving discrimination and prejudice. The way of applying
them at construction side:
i. From the top leading.
ii. Proper knowledge about consumer.
iii. Through being inclusive.
iv. Finding of supportive organizations.
Q2 Explain methods and techniques used and personal attributes required
to encourage and maintain working relationships that promote goodwill
and trust with relevant people. (AC1.3)
Personal attributes used and techniques and methods that are required to
boost up and maintain relationship as well as to promote trust are good in
construction area are mentioned bellow:
i. Maintaining trust within colleagues and team.
ii. Establishment of mutual respect.
iii. Acceptance of diversity.
iv. Practice of mindfulness.
v. Practice of open communication.
vi. Development of personal skills.
vii. Practice of active listening.
Q3 Explain the different methods and techniques used to inform relevant
people about work activities. (AC2.2)
Techniques and methods that are used to inform potential people about the
activities of work in construction site are mentioned bellow:
i. By developing, maintaining and encouraging relationship in the aim of
trust and goodwill promotion.
ii. Informing potential people about activities with the level of opportunity
attached with the urgency level.
iii. Practice of communication and advice giving as well as questioning
for comments or clarification to the potential people.
iv. Clarification of proposal and suggestion about alternative procedure.
v. Resolve opinion’s discrepancy to minimize trust in the aim of maintain
trust, goodwill and respect.

Q4 Describe the effects of not informing relevant people with the expected
level of urgency. (AC2.3)
If the related people do not get informed about the expected level of urgency
in the field of construction site that the aimed project doesn’t get done, or it will take
more time than expected as the potential people who was needed to do something
that is more important at that moment would feel the tendency of pushing it away as
well as the supervisor class won’t be able to find out the cause of delaying or the
related labour class causing the delay. As a results, the recipient who is intended
complains to the instigator causing irritation in each and every project’s partitions.
Q5 Explain the different types of work activity related information and to
what level of detail the following people would expect to receive:

Colleagues: The guidance regarding the work would be done in the
construction site and Employers
Customers: The clients.
Contractors: The engineers.
Suppliers of products and services: Enterprise owners.
Other people affected by the work/project: The neighbouring sites.
Q6 Explain the methods and techniques of resolving differences of opinion
in ways that minimise offence and maintain goodwill, trust and respect.
(AC5.2)
Techniques and methods that are used to resolve the conflicts of opinion in
the aim of minimizing offence to maintain trust, goodwill and respect are as follows:
i. Prepare a resolution for the conflict-
a) Acknowledgement about the conflict.
b) Discussion about it with the team.
c) Acceptance of cooperative process.
d) Support open communication.
ii. Understanding about the situation-
a) Clarification of job position.
b) List assumption, beliefs and facts of every position.
c) Small group division and analyse.
d) Convene back into the same team.
iii. Reaching the agreement
iv. Prevention to the conflict-
a) Immediate dealing with conflict.
b) Open discussion.
c) Active listening practice.
d) Identification of assumption.
