Hello everyone! I hope all of you are doing well. Today, I am going to present to you the
project plan for the redevelopment of Labuan square including very specific knowledge areas
that are specified by the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
Labuan Square Redevelopment Project
Let’s start with the background of the project that we will be focusing on in this
presentation. In this project, we need to construction a two storey building including various
specifications as well as demolish ten shops on the west of Labuan Square. As you can see, it is
quite understandable from these requirements that significant demolition and construction works
are necessary in the project along proper design and planning.
The main parameters for any project include three main boundaries – scope, time and
budget. For the redevelopment of Labuan square, the primary scope involves demolition of ten
shops and construction of a two storeyed building. The time allocated for the project is 300
working days and the allocated budget is $2,250,000.
Now, there are several methodologies using which we can execute our project. However,
I suggest we use the waterfall model since this is a construction based project and it will benefit
from the processes involved in the waterfall model.
The schedule for our project is estimated through the work breakdown structure method
in which we break down the project to work packages and schedule each of them separately. The
