Thus, policies and programs of sustainabletourism are ineffectually coordinated which resultsinto failure to meet the aims and objectives ofsustainable tourism.Economic priority: The first priority of the tourismcompanies is to enhance their income thus; theyshow very less interest in sustainability. Therefore,their concentration is on increasing the visitorswhich hinders the sustainable tourism developmentin Philippines. Conclusion Sustainable development is very essential forprotecting the environment and resources forfuture use.Sustainable tourism development indicates the social,economic and environmental aspects that would save the cost offirms operating in travel and tourism sector and also gives benefitsto the society and other stakeholders by preserving as well assafeguarding the environment. But there are some of the factorseither external or internal that prevent sustainable tourism inPhilippines. These factors are discussed below: Lack of awareness: There are many regionalcommunities that are still not awake or aware of profits ofsustainable tourism. The local people are exploiting the resourcesfor enhancing their business of tourism. Therefore, it is essential forthe organizations in Philippines to increase the awareness amonglocal communities to maximize their profitability by considering thesustainability. Low profit and high cost: The execution of sustainableprograms includes very heavy costing. Thus, government has tosuffer more expenditure. Thereafter, government of Philippineswould recover this amount in the form of tax from tourism serviceproviders and the visitors. This increment in the tax results into lessprofit and high cost for stakeholdersEnvironmental SustainabilityObstacle of the Sustainable TourismDevelopment Environmental sustainability minimizes the negativeimpact of the tourism on the regional bio diversity. Theoptimum utilization of resources like water, energywould be going to protect the resources for use infuture. The decrement in the waste and execution ofwaste management is required for making theenvironment appropriate for living. According to thecase study, regional citizens are opposing the projectsof development due to the damages occurred butsustainable development can make usage of the mosteffective practice to develop tourism by conserving thenatural as well as built environment.The places in the Philippines are revealing due to the growth of thetourism industry. Socio- cultural impact can be recognized with thecollaboration of the global tourist with the local communities. Thejamming, crime actions, overcrowding, etc. would be expected to beincreased and that can impact negatively on the tourism sector ofPhilippines. On the contrary, economic sustainability can maximizesthe scope or opportunities of employment by including the localcitizens in process of decision making. As a result, conflictsaccording to this case study can be minimized and this will increasethe scope of tourism.Sustainable Tourism development reflects all thecurrent and future social, economic and environmentalimpacts on the tourism by determining the need ofvisitors, requirement of communities and industrytrend.
