INTRODUCTION Digital disruption is an effect which changes the fundamental expectations as well as behaviour in a market, processes or industry caused by digital capabilities, assets and channels. The present study is conducted on TESCO which is one of the larger retailer and grocery supermarket of UK. The report consist of three task that involve development of questionnaire, face to face interview and discussion of research methods in a proper manner. MAIN BODY TOPIC: Awareness of digital disruption and person’s perception of it and it impact on their job and career In order to fill the questionnaire, 20 employees of Tesco is chosen with the help of random sampling method. Daniela's Task In this there is use of face to face round of interview with the retail industry professional to analyse the awareness of digital disruption and the perception of a person with regards to impact on career and job. Question 1: Can you please explain the movement from Bricks and motor stores with emergence of stores such as Tesco direct that is a online grocery platform: Analysis:In year 2000 UK has been a online grocery store and they quickly responded to the opportunity by adoption of a business model and establishment of a online grocery chain as TESCO direct. The main aim of TESCO has been to achieve a competitive advantage by offering of a omni-channel in form of a click and collect function. Question 2: What has been the major impact of digital disruption on TESCO functioning? Analysis:The emergence of new technology lead to a complete transformation in theoverall functioning asthere was a focus on digital strategies in the business approaches(Krstić and Tešić, 2016). There was requirement of HR department to focus on development of strategy that isaccordingtomeetingofthedynamicchallengesintheevolvingbusinesslandscape. Employees may not have the upgraded skill set and they need to focus on several training measures to learn how to handle the technology disruption. Question 4: As per your observation can you please explain the role of application played in the process of digital transformation? Analysis:The main role that is played by digital transformation of the retail segment isthat it has led to higher employee engagement. As there is better internal communications and external channels with customers through such transformation process. Employees have to focus towards development of competence to deal with the impact of changing technology in business. Discussion After the discussion of LAURA'S task, it is analysed that digital disruption impact directly on the career and jobs effectively. In addition to this, digital disruption is arise because of rapid innovation within the technology. In the present report, a questionnaire is developed and a face to face interview is conducted which is consider as a primary research technique. This data collection technique is chosen because it help in gaining valid and reliable conclusion that is based on the original information. According to the information discussed on theDaniela’stasks it can be Said that the main aim of digital transformation process according to the views of industry professionals is to move along with the changing external environment(Wolfe, 2020). For this management is generally adopted several measures such as on the job trainingto employees so that they are able to cope up with the changing environment conditions. One of the common challenge that is faced by industry professionals is related to upgrading and replacing the work with IT system. For this the use of technology advantages is becoming on of the most easily accessible solutions.
