Law in defined as a set of rules that are applicable on society as a
whole so that application of rules and regulations can be
maintained. Application of laws are made through legal system
which elaborates rights and responsibilities in variety of ways. This
presentation describes law and legal system by defining different
types of law and main principles related to criminal law in United
Kingdom.

In the English legal system there are number of laws

Civil law:It is a legal system defining set of laws
concerned with private affects of general public of
the country.
Criminal law: This form of law provides set of rules
and guideline in relation criminal activities.

once it is made it is final at that level of legal system.

Structure of magistrate and crown court
Magistrate Courts: This court is at the lowest level for making an appeal in relation to
criminal offense. At this stage of court structure of UK trial of summary offences,
committals to the crown court, family proceedings are made. Acts of this Court are
governed on the basis of Magistrate Court Act, 1980. Power of this court can not be
exceeded to crown court. Jury of the court is-

structure through making appeal in two courts such as-
Magistrate's courts
Crown Court
A criminal appeal must be filled to these two courts at the
first place to be make them appealable at higher court
