The Constitutional Law
The constitutional law of the United States binds the interpretation of the constitutional rights
that make sure that the definition of the rights of the state and federal government are identified
in the context of internal relations between the two bodies. The application of the law on
personal level however is quite different as the constitutional right awarded to the citizens of the
United States defines the rights of the citizen and limits the scope of state interventions in the
individual level (Epstein & Walk, 2012). Thus, the protection of personal rights as a citizen of
the states hinges upon the understanding of the constitutional law.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990
The Americans with disabilities act of 1990 includes different service and facilities that they are
entitled to as citizens of the state despite their disabilities. The rights include many public
facilities and private ones like employment sector that were previously inaccessible to them
because of their physical or mental disability. In this act, the different entities are forced to
accommodate the specific needs of an individual with disabilities. Thus, knowledge of this act is
essential for a disabled person to learn about the different rights and special facilities that would
allow them to function as normally as possible in their daily life at any public facility.
Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA)
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) passed in 1967 is an essential knowledge
for any employee as the rights of the employees to protest against any employment, promotion,
and compensation related discrimination because of age of the candidate. This act therefore
outlines the rights of the employees over 40 years of age and allows them to understand and
identify when an employer and the possible legal recourse are illegally discriminating against
them.
