Parliamentary stages: Passing of bills
The Parliamentary stages are
follows:
First reading- The bill is
simply introduced in this stage
Second reading- The principles
of the bill are debated
Committee stage- The details
of the bill are considered
Report stage- Discussion
of amendments
Third reading- General
discussion
Later stages- The houses
of the Parliament have to
agree with each other for
passing of the bill
