Law Reform on Emerging Technological Issues: Impact on Individuals

The advancement of technology in Australia has resulted in the need for law reform to address emerging technological issues. Cyberbullying is a serious issue that requires legal reform. The Enhancing Online Safety Act 2015 (Cth) allows Australians to register complaints regarding serious cyberbullying incidents. However, the Act has limitations and needs to be amended to expand its scope and provide adequate support to the Commissioner. This presentation discusses the impact of emerging technological issues on individuals and the need for law reform.
