INTRODUCTION The current study is based upon the case study of NHS which is a top international firm in UK who provide best health care services to their patients. The study will describe the nature of the firm and its history, aim and objectives. Further, report will describe the role and responsibilities of volunteers and some ethical issues which they face and then describe the legal framework which is related to this profession. Also, study will present the reflection that shows the skills which are gained under this profession and then provide update version of CV. Discussion of work, Volunteering and organization I am working as a Volunteer nurse in NHS and I am always try to provide the better health facilities to the patients so that they will easily recover. Also, in NHS, is publically funded healthcare system of UK and in recent condition of UK, there are around 5 lac people have signed up to support the NHS in order to help the vulnerable people in order to face with Coronavirus crisis. The NHS is made of four separate system which serve each part of the UK i.e. NHS Scotland, NHS England, NHS Wales, and Ireland. In the same way, I am also working as a volunteer nurse from last more than 1 year and by analyzing the current situation, NHS is actually extended its target to recruit 750000 volunteer in total so that they will serve for the nation and society. In the same year, around 12000 staff of NHS is retired but whenever the country face any issue, they all are ready to rejoin the frontline for the help (Waterson, 2020). Also, the government also announced a plan to make a shift hospitals with a capacity of around 4000 beds with thousands of volunteers in order to treat the people for their better. Nature of an organization History:NHS was establish in 1944 and proposed under Conservative MP andHealth Minister by Aneurin Bevan. Then, the founder also proposed NHS Scotland, Ireland and England and Wales in 1947 and 1946. But in 1969, NHS Wales was split from England and then the control was passes to Secretary of State for Wales. Thus, the establishment of NHS was for the good cause such that to provide the good and best healthcare services to all except wealth. Thus, in current situation, there were many cases where NHS treat people for free and that is why, it always attract most of the employees and patients towards it (Fontana and et.al., 2020).
Aim and objectives:The main aim and objective of the company is to improve the quality of services and minimize the errors. Further, the NHS will always support and value the staff and even the quoted firm is also respect the confidentiality of individual patients and then provide them an open access to information about the services, treatment as well as performance. Relationship with other firm:The relationship of NHS with other healthcare services are so strong such that it is always ready to support the private hospitals and as the company’s is provided the best care facilities to them as well (Păceşilă and Colesca, 2020). Therefore, its aim andproved that NHS is always ready to provide better health care facilities to their customers and other stakeholders as well. Reasons of choosing the firm I choose this particular organization because it was my dream to work under a top and well known government hospital where I would enhance my own skills and also grab better future opportunity as well. In the same way, I find an advertisement on newspaper of a volunteer nurse need in NHS I immediately go and crack an interview. In UK, I actually, research on the top hospitals where I will easily explore my ideas and raise my knowledge and that is why, I choose this option. Yes, there was an induction procedure, where our trainer provide us full detail with regards to my roles and responsibilities so that I can perform my best and also quit if I think I am not able to performthe work. Thus, the trainer was thefirst person to whom I was contact and in the same way, I found so many future option or can say career progression within NHS. Policies of an organization NHS keep complying all the health care sector policies in order to smooth running of its business. Further, in the same way, the quoted firm is also working best for the patients as well as staff, also provide equal opportunity to all the people without discriminating with others. Apart form this, NHS also make sure that it provide all the specific health care goals within a society and also provide all the equipment to all the staff member which reflect that it make sure that it comply with all health and safety rules such that emergency exit, gloves, machines etc (Dresch, Sánchez-López and Saavedra, 2018). Further, the company also have its all the safeguarding measures suchthat it complies all the six principle of Care Act, 2014 in order to make sure that all the individuals of the firm are safe and protected. Moreover, NHS also have

its all safeguarding procedure to women, young, men and children so that none of the patients have a bad impact towards it. Career progression NHS provides a range of opportunity to their customers such that it has a so many related roles that helps an individual to meet their dreams. Such that it provide number of roles i.e. Nursingassociate, healthvisitor, schoolnurse, publichealthissue, healthcareassistant, occupational health nurse, assistant practitioner etc. Moreover, NHS also provide the best training facilities to their staff members in order to make sure that they treat the patients in well manner. In the same way, when there was a first day of my working in NHS, I also work as a trainee for three months under probation period. The trainers are also so skilled and provide best training facilities to us such that induction training, refresher training and apprenticeship training (Vanderstichelen and et.al., 2019). Moreover, I also analyzed that apprenticeship training is the best kind of training session which helps to provide both on- the- job training and off- the – job training method that helps to realize the actual performance of the staff. Not only this, the company also make sure about the motivation of employees and for that it keep providing all the incentives opportunity to the employees so that they will perform the best and also provide the best services to their customers as well. Roles and responsibilities I am working as a Volunteer nurse in NHS where I provide patients care, monitoring vital signs, administrating the medication and also assist the patients with hygiene. Also, assisting hospital front desk, taking sample for testing, operating medical equipment and also make sure about the emotional support. In this way, I try to provide all the care and support to the patients and tried to make my efforts for the company’s success. As per the situation, I also make care plan for the patients which have to be follow by every patient and also make sure that about patient’s recovery as well. In this present scenario, I think that volunteers plays an important role in all the hospitals because they help to run hospitals smoothly and allow the doctors to spend their time in other activities as well. In my initial days, I was under the probation period where I make myself comfortable in this profession and from that, I attend all my volunteers session in order to keep me up to date with regards to skills.
Relationship with managers My relationship with the manager are so strong because he like to work with soft hearted and soft spoken person, that is why, he always encourage me to attain the define aim and objectives. On the other side, I also have a good relationship with my colleagues and we all work together and also learn many things which will definitely help me in my profession. Therefore, I think that in order to grab attention of other users one of my colleague uses wrong techniques which I don’t like. But apart from him, all the colleagues and service users are so cooperative and helping in nature which I like the most (Dalmida and et.al., 2016). Such that there were many situation, where I feel depressed then my colleagues help me to cope up with the problem and also encourage me by saying I posses a strong capabilities which will definitely help me to attain my aim and dream. Gender and ethnic composition of colleagues In NHS, there were all variety of peoples working and come because NHS make sure that it comply with the equal opportunity act and that is why, there are all type of staff members working.Suchthatmycolleaguesareanoldman, youngmen, somewomenwhoare practitioners etc. Many of them are differ fromtheir religion and this clearly reflect that NHS welcome talent without discrimination the people on the basis of caste, gender and ethnicity. Apart from this, I also analyzed that other volunteers are also related to different caste, such that some of them are Islamic, one of them is Indian and three of them are Christians. Thus, they all have a strong skills and capable enough to handle some critical situations (Lombard, 2018). Thus, it reflected that NHS never discriminate the people and also make sure that their staff members and patients are satisfied with the offers services or not. Ethical issues As per the code of ethics, it is analyzed that nurse should not share any private information to the third party because it completely against as per the norms. If they do so that they are sue against the describe law and rules of UK health care system (Ethical issue in volunteer nurse,2019). Also, it isthe responsibility of the volunteering nurses that they must consider the needs and respect the values of each person in every professional relationship so that they cannot perform the wrong deeds against anyone. Further, another ethicalissue that
comes under this profession is the discrimination of the people on the basis of caste, gender and religion and if they do so, then it creates a negative impact upon the company’s brand image and that is why, they must recognize that the health care is provided to culturally diverse population in UK as well as across the globe too. In the same way, nurses should also collaborate in order to create the moral value among the working environment of NHS. Legal framework Under this profession, the main legislation is the Nursing and Midwifery Order 200 in which it is the duty of the nurses to make sure that their patients are getting proper care. Further, UK government also make legislation which was created under the powers in the Health Act, 1999 which actually determine the pieces of legislation that work together in order to determine how to operate. But a volunteer nursing do not have a contract of employment that is why, I do not get the same right which an employee have (Vanderstichelen and et.al., 2019). Though volunteers do not have a same right, but they get full support form upper authority in order to make sure that all the arrangement are done and they only help to provide better assistance to the patients only. Reflection The overall experience while working as a Volunteer nursing is so knowledgeable because I enhance my current knowledge and add many personal as well as professional skills that also helps me in my future. In my profession as a Volunteer nurse in NHS, I gain good experience as a nurse, now I am able to identify an injury, disease and also provide a better care plan to the patients so that they will be recover soon. Not only this, I also enhance my personal skills while working in this profession such that communication skills, I start making myself happy so that it I will easily make my patients happy and cure them as well. Thus, it clearly reflect that my experience with regards to this profession is so good because this provide me opportunity or a step forward to meet my dream as well. Also, I also face many tough situations in NHS, but my colleagues and trainer are always stand by my side and always ready to support me. On the other side, there was an incident which i cannot forgot i.e. one of my colleague is leak the personal information of some patient and at that time, I was not aware with the laws and legislation and that is why, he was fired. From that situation, I make my self aware with all the
