INTRODUCTION
Person-centered care refers to the way of thinking as well as doing things which sees the
individual using health & social services as the equal partners in the process of planning,
developing as well as monitoring care to ensure that there needs will meet. People centered
practices consist of thinking, sharing ideas, listening, coaching as well as seeking feedback. This
is an ongoing approach and ensure that each person is getting help in order to enhance their
living beings and standards. This current report is based on NHS trust which mainly provides
health care services to the patients at their own workplace along with home care services to old
age people. In the present report, various topics are going to be covered which includes
approaches associated to person centered practices along with the influence of policy as well as
legislation are also going to be covered. In addition to this, it also includes the ways in which
centered person inform their consents. At the end of this report, it includes how active
participation influences the well being and quality of life of an individual person.
Main Body
1.1 Explain person-centered practice
Person centered approach is basically referred to as the humanistic approach in which main
preference is provided to the core requirement of patient as well as their preferences in taking the
treatment. Here it can be said that while providing domiciliary services to the patient medical
practitioners especially staff is required to acquire person centered approach in their practices so
that they can effectively provide right treatment to the patient. In addition this, it has also been
observed that inclusion of person centered approach simply allows medical practitioner or carer
in developing strong relationship with the patient. This soft relationship help the carer I
convincing patient for the best treatment. Also, carer can also ask patient about the kind of
treatment to which they are highly familiar and can easily take it for the improvement of their
health in rightful manner.
Moreover, it has also been acknowledged that staff is also required to emphasize on
including completely free and fair practices while providing treatment to the respective patient in
an appropriate manner. In addition to this, it can be said that person centered approach is also
