INTRODUCTION
As a leader, it is essential to be quite strong and developed mentally since the
person has to manage a lot of people. A leader is someone who besides getting the
work done, has to plan for the future course of the team or the organization, and
has to ensure that the team is working hard enough, employee well being, general
communication and the confidence of the employees are all well kept.
Hence, it is essential to understand that developing a self worth is essential, and
for this a self insight is needed.
Self insight ensures that the leader is able to reflect on oneself and understand how
and where things went wrong, and how can the situation be improved.

SELF INSIGHT
Self-insight generally implies the level of understanding that exists relative to the
nature of one's self-system (self-definition, needs, goals, attributes), while self-
knowledge relates to the accuracy of introspection about these internal states and
capacities.
It is important to build a self insight as it helps in understanding situation,
evaluating them and finding correct order out of them as well (Klimoski and Hu,
2012)
It is essential since it requires a lot of self reflection and the ability to sit down and
comprehend the situation

REFLECTION
I have identified the following components of self insight in me as a part of this
reflection task:
Leadership style and behaviour
Dealing with situations
Maintaining relationships
Team work
Behaviour
