Introduction
In this reported study the concept related to the leadership skills, knowledge, potentials and
many others have been discussed with the help of essay study and PowerPoint presentation.
The assessment comprises of two parts in which the first part is an essay that emphasis on the
KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude) of the leadership in terms of its benefits at work and
in near future. On the other hand, the second part is a presentation in which the slides reflect
the leadership attitudes, potentials, styles, and qualities. The overall summary of assessment
is also made at the end.

Part 1 Individual Essay
In this part of the essay, the key concepts and conventions relating to the leadership which
leads to change management in the work and in future have been discussed. Moreover, the
reflection on the way in which leadership leads to enhancing, curving and strengthening the
individual is also stated in the essay. The way in which the leadership qualities, styles, and
potentials are being used to currently describe the present working condition as well as
assessing the future outcomes is also highlighted. In addition to this, the identification of
KSA role in gaining a leadership position as well as practices is also focused so that the
significance of leadership can be assessed.
Essay: KSA (Leadership Knowledge, Leadership Skills and Leadership Attitude)
The KSA is a very significant tool and element when it comes to the self-assessment. This is
so because it provides with the self-determination which helps the individual in working to its
greatest efficiency and effectiveness. KSA is helpful in the working environment and guides
the individual towards a great future. Through the assessment of KSA, I get to know the
significance of having the leadership traits, qualities and its potential and its significance in
near shaping of my work.
According to the views and thoughts of the author Ghani (2013), the skills, hard work,
knowledge and attitude are referred to as the self-earned as well as self-determined. All of
these three elements are needed to achieve the success and is an important element towards
personal growth. The knowledge, skills, and attitude are required at each and every level
whether personal or professional. It is helpful in providing a right curve, enhancement and
strengthens the individual personal growth and development. For gaining a leadership
position, there is various benchmark been set-up by the individuals such as teamwork skill
and many others. The KSA is applicable and significant in every field or work such as human
health, employability and many others (Ghani, 2013).

The KSA reflects own knowledge, skills, and attitudes that an individual has for leading to
the leadership position through the ways of enhancements and strengthening. The
terminology of KSA has been explained below in a comprehensive manner so as to have an
in-depth knowledge and learning about the topic.
Leadership Knowledge–The leadership leads to inspiring an individual towards gaining new
experiences and potentials. Knowledge regarding which is right and wrong is also assessed
and necessary to be determined by an individual for its growth. The knowledge describes
what is being perceived as per own belief and understanding. It is also related to the
determining of things as well as the situation in which the person is surrounded which. It can
be related to the working environment or in terms of future aspect. It is a very vague term that
is directly related to the potential and abilities which helps the individual in gaining a
competitive leadership position.
As per my own assessment of leadership knowledge I analysed and observed that for leading
to an organisational change the establishment of good knowledge is very essential. This is so
because it is helpful in providing the leadership qualities such as motivation, inspiration,
flexibility, passion, participation and many others. The knowledge provides with the
understanding regarding the new concepts, conventions which is useful in achieving the
desired aims and objectives. The aims and objectives can be in regards to the working culture
as well as growth and development (Phelan & Mills, 2010). The knowledge reflects the
current state of the mindset of an individual towards a particular topic which helps them in

attaining a leadership position and also the leadership practices. It provides the way to
success and stepping forward towards the growth and achievement. The below figure also

Leadership Skills–The leadership skills refers to as the set of capabilities and abilities which
is possessed by an individual for attaining the desired result with positive behaviour. There
are various skills which lead to making a strong leader in the workplace and near future. The
list of various leadership skills are as follows (Phelan & Mills, 2010):
Motivation – It is essential that an individual must be motivated and contain positive
vibes in order to deal with the various circumstance and conditions prevailing in the market.
Motivation not only strengthens people thinking but also enhances their personality so that
they can effectively and efficiently manage their work and future. Motivation curves the
leadership potential in a way that leads to a specific position in the market (Al-Ahmadi,
2011).
Conceptual Skill – Such type of skills is related to the innovative thinking and
competitive mindset which enlightens the individual for enhancing its qualities. The
conceptual skill is required at each and every phase of life and helps the

communication in between individuals. This is an essential skill when it comes to working in
an organisation. The organisation comprises of a number of people in which there must be the
establishment of a proper and systematic conversation so that a well-framed hierarchy can be

only in regards to the working but also helps them in building there positive near future (Al-
Ahmadi, 2011).
Delegation – In case of working in a particular field the skill of delegating is one of
the preferred and required skills in the leadership. The skill of delegating the roles and
responsibilities to each and every individual is very significant. This helps in curving,
enhancing and strengthening of the individuals and provides them with potential skills,
abilities, and others. It plays an essential role in attaining a specific leadership position.
Creativity – The creativity is an individual skill and trait which ensures making an
individual from one another. This creates distinctive views and thoughts of one person from
another and provides them with the strengthening of the potential leadership skills and
knowledge. In case of dealing with the individuals and human being, there is a full
requirement of having the creativity so that a competitive leadership position can be attained
(O'Neill, et. al., 2012).
Leadership Attitude–The attitude is linked to the behaviour and behaviour changes taking
place within the surrounding environment. The employees coming to the organisation have a
positive attitude as per their discussion made with the employer; this shows their positive
behaviour towards job and work (Garcia & Acosta, 2017). Having a positive attitude towards
work is very essential for enhancing, curving and strengthening skills and styles of an
individual. The attitude can be changed and mold over time to time according to the
surrounding. The attitude is directly related to the commitment, satisfaction, dedication and
many others. The leadership attitude refers to as the positive behaviour which is aimed at
influencing others towards attaining a specific goal and objective. The leaders have to be
positive for effectively and efficiently working in any organisation and are helpful in near
future also. The once own attitude play a very significant role in establishing a good
leadership (O'Neill, et. al., 2012).
I have analysed my attitude and it is reflected that I have friendly nature, optimistic, positive
and good in making relations. Such behaviour and attitude lead to contributing to the
leadership attitude and provides with the strengthening, enhancement, and curving of my
work and my near future as well.

For attaining a leadership position and practices there are many aspects, experiences as well

in curving, strengthening and enhancing the leadership position (Vidotto, 2018).

used at work and also helpful in near future (Krumm, et. al., 2013). Their list of the
significance of KSA in context of work and future of an individual is stated below:
It leads to providing a list of personal qualification and attributes which is required for
carrying out of a job or work in an effective and efficient manner.
It leads to reflecting of once own skills and abilities to do a work
KSA is useful in all of the areas and helps in enhancing or strengthening the personal
goals and objectives in various areas such as communication, critical thinking, problem-
solving, financial management, accounting, budgeting, management and various others.
It is a useful tool or element which is aimed to achieve a desired leadership position
(Lee & Wingreen, 2010).
Challenges with KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
With the benefits of KSA in achieving a leadership position, there are some of the limitations
or challenges being faced in regards to the KSA. The various challenges are as follows:
It is a very long, complex process as it involves assessment of own knowledge,
attitudes, and skills which sometimes takes a lot of time and efforts (Krumm, et. al., 2013).
There is a possibility that the leadership KSA is not appropriate and manipulation can
be made in determined own capabilities due to underestimation or overestimation.
There is a chance of confusion in between the differences relating to terms, skills, and
abilities. This confusion leads to providing of a miss-interpretation within the key skills and
qualities (Lee & Wingreen, 2010).
Role of KSA in a curve, enhance and strength
The part of skills and knowledge has been significantly developed by the means of training
which is incorporated by the means of providing theoretical learning and application of
practical concepts and conventions. KSA reflect on the individual strengthens, curve and
improve themselves for gaining the leadership potentials, abilities, skills as well as styles.
