Q1. Identify two significant risks for Norah, and explain why these are
significant in terms of prevalence and/or possible outcomes.
According to the scenario, it can be seen that Norah is a 74-year-old elderly woman and
have a surgical repair of her hip just 3 days ago and now, due to a fall, it can be observed that she
has a fractured neck of Femur. There is a high impact on Norah's body that can create critical
issues regarding health. There are different risk which can be there for Norah, related with health
in which some of the risks are going to be discussed further.
Failure of surgical repair of hip- This is one of the risks for which it is associated with
her health. In this, Norah is 74 years old lady and due to not having much potential in her body.
She has weakness in her body which can create high damage to her health. There is a high risk
regarding her hip and there is a high chance of injury due to fall. This can lead to a high risk of
failure of surgical repair of her hip. The fractured neck of Femur is associated with and
interrelated with hip bones. In this, there is a high chance of damage to the hip bone which has
been surgically repaired three days before. In the neck of the Femur, this area is on an upper
portion of the femur which is just below of ball and socket joint. A person with more than 50
years can have a high risk of a medical condition related to health issues which can create
weakness in bone and increase the risk of fracture in the neck of Femur (Hernandez, (2018)).
Neck of Femur most common location for hip fracture. This is fracture-related with intracapsular
fracture. This can be associated with a health problem and create failure of surgical repair of her
hip due to fall. This is one of the high factors for adults who are having an age of more than 50
years. This creates a high chance for breaking bone generally fractures the neck of Femur. This
one is significant because due to the high age of Norah there is weakness in the bone which can
be broken due to fall. This can lead to significant risk for Norah regarding her health and hip
surgery.
Bleeding in the inner thigh- There is another risk that is related to bleeding inside the thigh is
there due to falling. This can be there due to failure of surgical repairing of hip and leads to
damage due to falling and can create breaking of bone which leads to bleeding inside the thigh.
This bleeding inside the high can create life-threatening complications within Norah. There is a
need to take care and get the better treatment that can help to get better and improved health for
Norah. There can be a need for proper and effective treatment which can be there due to a fall
and surgery of the hip within her (Kusen, (2019)). This can be there due to fall which is highly
