INTRODUCTIONLeadership is setting a new direction or vision for a group that they follow. This is veryimportant in hospitality industry because leaders are responsible for motivation of the employeeswithin the team so as to deliver the effective performance. Management controls and directs thepeople as well as resources in a group according to the principles and values which are aimed atachieving the main objectives. This report is based on the effective management and leadershipWithin Docklands Academy which has a close partnership with three restaurant chains calledHazev, Haz and Tas. These hotels deals with large variety of food and beverage operations. Thestudy will disclose different types of management theories such as scientific management,Administrative, bureaucratic management etc. Moreover, it will help in implementing different leadership and management styleswithin the firm which get affected by the change in the technology and strategy of the company.It will also help in accessing current and future management and leadership skills for the servicesector industry.LO1P1 Different classical management theories and its application within Hazev, Haz and TasManagement can be considered as an art and a science in which managers deals with thehuman behaviour of the employees in order to achieve the main objectives of the firm. Classicalmanagement theories are mainly based on the beliefs that workers only have physical andeconomic needs (Alonderiene and Majauskaite, 2016). Application of such classical managementtheories within Hazev, Haz and Tas helps the manager in organising, motivating andcoordinating the efforts of human being with the main operations of the company. There arevarious classical management theories and some of them are described below:Henri Fayol This is a general theory of Administration and Henri Fayol was known as the father ofmodern management who laid down fourteen principles of management for improving overalladministration. This management laid emphasis on Top level management and this managementtheory is applicable universally. These fourteen principles are Division of work, Authority andresponsibility, Unity of command, unity of direction, subordination, Remuneration, scaler chain,equity etc. the application of these principles within Hazev, Haz and Tas helps the manager inmanaging the employees and engaging them towards the effective operations of the firm. the manager of Hazav, Has and Task in planning, organising, commanding, coordinating andcontrolling the activities of the employees within the hotel. Frederick TaylorFrederick has been regarded as a father of modern operational management theory andhis ideas are become one of the fundamental part of modern management concept(Amanchukwu, Stanley and Ololube, 2015). Application of this management theory helps inefficient organization of production and controls the cost of production within Hazav, Has, Tas.This management theory lay emphasis on low level management. This management is basicallyapplied to specialised organizations only. Hazev, Haz and Tas hotel will be benefited byemploying this management theory within the business as it primary concern is increasedoperational efficiency of workers and managers and they also concentrates towards in managingthe employees at supervisory level. This management consists of various principles such asScience, harmony, cooperation, development of every person to its greatest efficiency.Moreover, The managers of Hazev, Haz and Tas hotels mainly employ the fourteenprinciples of henry Fayol within their restaurant in order to strengthen the staff members of thehotel. It helps in delivering the effective productivity and hence maximises the profitability ofthe firm. P2 Role of Leader in different leadership stylesThe leaders are mainly aimed at setting the clear vision for the organization and alsomotivates the workforce, guide the team members and inspires them through the work, processand builds morale. Leadership is the process of leading the group of people towards theachievement of the main objectives (Donate and de Pablo, 2015). There are various leadershipstyles which effects the efficiency and productivity of the workforce within the service industry.AutocraticThis leadership style allow the significant control over the staff and this leadership styledo not involves the ideas and suggestions of the team members. It is the strict leadership stylewhich may effect the morale and satisfaction of the employees within the firm. This styleincludes the lack of creativity as the directions comes from single individual.
