INTRODUCTION
Leadership and change management is referring need and requirement which help people to
buy vision for the organisation. In addition, there are various type of communication is required
in order to fulfil the need of organisation and reduce error which may technical, managerial and
so on. Sometime, change is required within organisation to make it more productive and reduce
the error which negative and impact the overall operation of the firm. In this report, the major
discussion carries various aspect that is about Wood Care Limited. The Wood Care Limited is
referring care home licensed to provide personal care and support to client. The poor quality and
support is analysed through Wood Care Limited for their client which must be improved. The
vision of the firm to make change that is associated with improvement of quality for client that is
about support and care. The report is divided into two task where first task covers the change
management with help of Kotter model with proper practical step. On second task, the
applicability of Lewin theory in this case where the use of formulation of strategy to manage the
challenges which is predominantly arise (Akhmetshin and et. al., 2018).

TASK 1
Use Kotter’s model to explore and appraise proper practical step that use effectively to manage
the implementation of change within care homes
The Kotter’s model of change management is generally use to optimise change that is
implemented within organisation. John Kotter, a Harvard business school professor and wrote
the book named leading change which introduced the 8 step model of change which is well
developed on the basis of research of organisation that is approximate 100 and more which is
going the long process of change. In this, underpinned strategy that is quality improvement
within the care homes is undertaking and make rationale (Al-Hamid, 2021).

The eight step which is showing the process of change that include:
Creating a sense of urgency: In reference with Wood Care Limited, it is analysed that the poor
quality is assessed within the firm that faced by client which is six in number. The client faces
the issue due to poor quality of service that is provided by Wood Care Limited. The quality is
important index for care home because it creates conceptual and mandatory aspect for the people
in order to get support and improve their condition that they facing for long. With reference with
initial stage of Kotter’s model, creating sense of urgency in respect to quality or good quality is
required to reduce issue which is faced by number of people within care homes. The sense of
urgency act as primary factor where previous poor quality and other associated bias are breaking
down and implement new plan that is about good quality. All the above, first stage of Kotter’s
model is useful because the strategic action is useful in order to maintain quality of care and
support (Bousquet and et. al., 2019).
Build guiding team: In reference with Kotter’s model of change management, the strategy which
is making good quality care and support for the individual living within care homes. As per this,
