As per the Gallup report (2010), the contribution of the clinical leaders bear a huge
significance when it comes to patient are. According to Stanton, Lemer and Mountford (2010),
the time of clinical leader has arrived. This is driven by the requirement for engaging clinicians
while developing policies, on the increment of the quality, the requirement of the clinical
employees to engage in change as well as innovation growth and due to the fact that clinicians
are recognizing themselves as the stakeholder of the healthcare industry. However, clinical
leaders have the potential to perform if they gain recognization and encouragement for viewing
the presence of leadership in several levels.

(O’Rouke, 2001). However, several factors like political, social, economic and professional
factors threaten the progress of clinical leadership. When it comes to a dynamic as well as
fiscally constrained healthcare system, mentoring as well as incorporating new styles of nursing
leadership requires to be incorporated. Both academic as well as clinical environment require
cultures for developing innovation as well as fostering leadership (Davidson,Elliott and Daly,
2006). It is highly crucial to realize that in each and every organizational level, regardless of the
management stream of thee nurses, it is crucial to have potential to influences well as direct
patient care through effective leadership along with excellent clinical practice.
