INTRODUCTION This report will identify the leader and manager and analysis the some leadership theory with their impact on effectiveness and decision-making. It will also discuss the comparison of different organization on the basis of their leadership and management. Their will be importance of culture and role of leaders and manager and it would critically reflect on impact of management and leadership. MAIN BODY Leader and manager Leadership is known as the capability of any individual or group to provide influence over their subordinates and gave the significant role in effective decision-making changes. Leaders are useful for organization for effectively handling the business aspects and improving the overall productivity. Leader provides the motivation to their team member and develop the better work culture to introduce with the better future outcomes for company. Such effective leadership qualities are beneficial for employee and organization growth. Soft skills are the traits which make good worker where leader provides the better communication, collaboration in teams. Further these skills gives access to setting goals and influence people by inspiring and motivating them by building the strong team in the organization (Samul, 2019). Also, they respect their employee help them in failures to improve their performance in efficient way. On the other hand managers plays significant role in utilizing the resources that is available to individual in the organization and their skills are essential for achieving better result. The hard skills of manager refer to the job related knowledge and ability which employee requires to perform their job role effectively. The soft skills are the personal qualities which support individual to thrive in work culture. The effective manager are able to deal with leading teams and help them to grow. The leaders and managers are almost same in where they aim at to enhance the organization performance in more favourable terms. Both of them look to develop supportive communication and team effectiveness and encourage them to reach their potential. Analysis of different leadership theory with impact on effectiveness There are various theories of leadership which describes how the leadership styles varies according to the different qualities. Such in analysing to the leadership theories, main theory is transformational theorywhich is found at all levels of organization such as team, departments, divisions. Such leaders are source of inspiration and thoughtful thinkers and for bringing changes
such leaders exhibit the four factors like inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealizedinfluence,individualizedconsideration(Alzghoulandet.al.,2018).Secondly, contingency theoryis also part of leadership theory and it is also known as situational leadership that suggest based on situations different leadership styles essential for various circumstances. The leader adapts the best style and supply the needs of employee in the specific situations. On the basis of contingency theory itimpactsin better term for leaders approach to decision-making varying upon the situation. By transformational theory leader adapt the bets style and impact over the organization n effective ways. Providing inspiration to employee and levelling up their performance to higher levels. Both theories are essential for leadership effectiveness and decision-making process, also in similar way decision-making can be used to many ways to identify the problem, gathering information and assessing the situation, developing the potential solutions etc. Contingency theory suggest thebest way to execute and asses the situationandcompetitiveenvironment.Withtransformationaltheoryleadercanprovide inspiration and come up with innovative solutions for such problems. Comparison on two different organization based on leadership and management The leadership is important for all the organization to conduct their activities in suitable manner as such while in comparison of organization. Marks & Spencer and Tesco belongs to retail industry where they follow different leadership based on approaches (Breuer and Szillat, 2019). The leadership of M&S is based on consultative in which leaders consult with their assistants before making any important decision. They target team building and use the skill of other for developing plans and making decisions. Thu, such consulting practice influence the employee motivation in engaging various activities as being part of business. The leaders get creative ideas and information where it might easy to identify about changes that should be considered for bringing in organization. They introduce immense changes for company by adding value for entity. Tesco adapts democratic leadership style which is also called participant leadership whereby employee concerned during decision-making. As being the effective leader, in the organizationthe leadershipfollowthe processof motivatingemployeesand organization continues in supplying good and service to their respective customers. Positivework culture is essential for individual and team to perform their best towards the organizational goals and objectives. Reflecting on impact of leadership and management Leadership and management are the important sources of organization, as such they manage various departments and activities in the organization. The leaders are the essential sources who provide the motivation to employees and maker effective communication in the organization to carry out the positive work culture in the organization (Golensky and Hager, 2020). Also, there are hard and soft skills which describes the leadership qualities and efforts which he can provide to organization. Overall they provide the better outcomes for business activities as such leadership make major contribution towards organizational success. Although leader influence variety range of outcomes that would be consisted of turnover, customer satisfaction,revenue,salesand productivity.Thebetterleadershipdeveloptheemployee engagement and passion, that leads to peak level of customer loyalty, service andultimate profits. CONCLUSION According to above report it has identified about what is leadership and management and analysis the various leadership theory with their impact on effectiveness and decision-making. It
has been also discussed the comparison of organization like Tesco and M&S on the basis of their leadership and management style. Further, it had been evaluated importance of culture as well as role of leaders and manager. At last, it had been reflected on impact of management and leadership.
