INTRODUCTION Leadership refers to practices motivating a group of people to act towards achieving andaccomplishing the common goals. In this directing people or workers with a strategy to meet thecompanies need. Effective leadership is inspiring others and having an effective idea, as it can'tbe happen unless those ideas can be communicated to others in a way the engage them toperform as leader wants them to perform. The effective leadership upon small-mediumenterprises, is up of enterprise which have 250 employees and annual turnover not more than 50million pounds. This report is based upon leadership on Midsummer house restaurant located inCambridge, England over the bank of river Cam and it's a Victorian style house restaurant. Thisreport includes the literature review upon meaning and importance of leadership on small-medium enterprises, requirement of leadership in an organisation and importance of ethicalpractices based upon leadership. The personal development plan is created to the skills whichleader have and to analyse the gap between current and future requirement of skills. The selfappraisal evaluation upon ethical leadership implementation, analyse self-awareness tools, asthese tools help them to analyse personal education as well as work experience. The people who havegood leadership skills have executive position like CEO, COO, CFO, president and chairman.Leadership provides direction to employees, which they need to follow as to accomplish thedesired goals of an organisation. According to Aziz, R. and et. al., (2013), Leadership is effective, if leader is honest,trustworthy, integrity and ethical. The strong leadership involves precise as well as clearcommunication which makes employee understand the desired goals. The midsummer houserestaurant leaders have to use effective communication style otherwise they are not been able tocommunicate their desired gaols effectively to subordinates. The effective communication skillis used to for moving the Midsummer house towards the achieving goals and motivates workersas well to work further.1

As per the point view of Bo and Qiuyan (2012), leadership plays an essential role inachieving desired objectives and challenging goals. If leadership is missing then it becomedifficult for organisation to work efficiently. Every organisation is created with a particularpurpose and objective which is accomplish with the help of human group, to show direction tosubordinates it's essential to have effective leadership. The importance of leadership are:- It's help organisation to influence the behaviour of employees by which it become easyto accomplish organisation objectives. This will bring control in employees by whichthey put their best efforts to achieve organisational goals. They help organisation to introduced or implement the required change. In new era ofbusiness environment is changing rapidly, so it's also become important of organisationto introduce changes in their organisation. The leader should have ability to makeemployee agree with changes and help Midsummer house to implement those changes. The leaders also help in solving the conflicts between employees effectively. Theconflicts are required to solve in time otherwise it become difficult for leaders toaccomplish the organisation desired goals. The leaders helps organisation to provide appropriate training and development to it'semployees. The training is provided to new employee, make them aware about cultureand values of organisation. The development in terms of making aware the existingemployees about new and modern techniques of work. They also help employees in fulfilling their need and provide security as well asopportunity earns wealth and understand their feelings.
