INTRODUCTION:
Leadership is the power of an individual or group of individuals to guide the employees of the
organization or it can be defined as the act of motivating the employees to work efficiently to
achieve the organizational goal. This report will discuss about the two selected leaders Mark
Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai, their style of leadership as well as the leadership approach. Along
with this, It will discuss about how they take decisions, each leader's organization type and its
culture.
MAIN BODY:
Leader's Profile:
1. Sundar Pichai- He is an Indian born American business executive, and he is a Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) of its subsidiary Google and Alphabet Inc.. Sundar Pichai
joined Google in 2004, where he was mostly responsible for google drive, google chrome
and google OS.
2. Mark Zuckerberg- He is a philanthropist, internet entrepreneur as well as American
media magnate. He is the co-founder of social media website Facebook as well as the
chairman, chief executive officer and controlling shareholder of his parental company
Meta Platforms. In 2007, at the age of 23 Mark Zuckerberg became world's self- made
and youngest billionaire.
Leadership style and approaches of both the leaders-
Sundar Pichai and Mark Zuckerberg both uses the Transformational style as the leadership style.
They both trust, motivate and support their employees in the new projects (Demirtas and Karaca,
2020). They also remove the barriers between innovation, show the right path to the team.
Transformational leadership helps in growth and success of the organization. Both Sundar Pichai
as well as Mark Zuckerberg uses this type of leadership, so they are top successful leaders in the
world.
