Leadership qualities
• A leader needs to have a good vision and be able to
motivate others.
• A leader is termed as the one who is knowledgeable
about his/her path and guides others in that way.
• For becoming a good leader a person needs to have the
following qualities (Black, 2015):
• Confidence
• Communication skills

• Passion and commitment to work
• Ability to motivate and inspire others
• Accountability and responsibility.

Reflection on leadership
qualities as teacher
• In order to bring an effective change I believe that the
focus of the leader should be based on collaboration
and collectivity (Krasnoff, 2015).
• The leadership practices on shared beliefs and values
should be de-privatised.
• As a teacher I feel deep trust and bonding should be
present within the colleagues for enhancing the
teaching process.

Reflection on leadership

• Communication and close interaction with my
colleagues from other schools helps in exchange of
professional ideas (Snoek, 2014). I believe that doing
things together will help in giving value to other people
and make others feel empowered, self-motivated and
find the purpose for their belonging.
• I have an immense passion for my job which helps me
to handle the teaching and learning process effectively.
