INTRODUCTIONContext business is the method for analyzing the environment for operating the business. This isthe most important and necessary aspect of the business planing. This study will base on theSainsbury which is 3 largest chains of the supermarkets which listed in the London stockexchange. This report will examine the background of the company and also the vision of thecompany. It also highlighted the uses and implementation of the leadership styles andmanagement practices, strategies and it also covers the recommendations that company has toimprove the performance and work in effective ways(Yahaya and Ebrahim, 2016). MAIN BODY 1)Background and history of the organization.Sainsbury is 3 largest chains of the supermarket in UK. It covers 16.9% share of the supermarketsector. It became the largest groceries store and it was early adopted self services in retailingsector. Its headquarter was in Holborn, London, United Kingdom. There are number of 1,415Locations of shops across the world. Sainsbury listed in the London stock exchange and thesectors of retailing is engaged with the operations and their convenience. Financial services ofthe company included the operations of the Sainsbury bank pic. The revenue of the company is28.456 billion and there are 186,900 employees working with Sainsbury. It has the largestnumber of stock there are more than 23,000 products in the supermarket. It has geographicalpresence in UK and uses the report of corporate social responsibility. The risk of theenvironment and impact is transport distribution, packaging of food wastage is the major impacton the environment of the Sainsbury. There are lots of energy used by the Sainsbury stores suchas lightning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation accounts for the 60% of the supermarket footprintof the carbon. The target of the Sainsbury is to reduces its own brand packaging in term ofweight and against the baseline. Sainsbury supermarkets connected to the Zero waste of food tolandfill the program.Vision of the companyThe main aim and vision of the company is it has to make the most trusted retailer where everypeople has to work together and shop together. It will put the customers at the heart of everythingwhich customers do and it investing on the stores, and customers get best experience as possibleform the offers of channels. The main strategy of the business outlines to achieve the vision asthe most trusted retailer, it will help the customer’s live as well for less(Arnold and et.al., 2015.).

Leadership styles There is a method where all the motivations, directions and implementing the plans given by theleader and it also identifies so many styles which exhibit the leaders in the business, political andso many there fields. It focuses on the style of leaderships which as follows;Autocratic leadership style:- this style of the leadership is followed by the Sainsburywhere it is characterized by the individual and control all over decisions and also the little inputsfrom the team members. This leadership style make choices and all the decisions are based onthe beliefs of their own and in this it does not involve and allow others in the advice andsuggestions related to the company. It is a form of the styles of the management where only theleader of the Sainsbury make choices on the basis of the ideas, judgment and rarely accept by theadvice and suggestions from other employees. It also involves the authoritarian which absolutescontrol over the groups. It guides and gives directions to the groups which already lead by theleader or manager which undervalues and ignore the inputs of the teams. There are some strengthand weakness which trusts on the approaches such as the decision making in critical and certainsituations by the leader. It is one of the strongest dimensional of the leader in Sainsbury whichhas the full power and authority to take any of decision towards the company(Nawaz, and Khan_Phd, 2016). It is so much important and valuable when Sainsbury faces so many problems and crisesat it required an immediate response by the manager for taking and making the appropriatedecision in any of situation. From the uses of this leadership style in Sainsbury it increases theproductivity at larger level and also raise the value of sales of the goods and services. Sainsburynever demand for the employee's engagement for taking the decision in so many criticalsituations which is necessary for controlling the situations. Management practicesSainsbury is customer oriented it mainly focuses on the management practices which ispersonalized for the long term relationship with the customers. It mainly focuses on theproviding the best facility and quality of the products and services which has been adopted apolicy for the improvement which is related to the customers and it also develops the knowledgeand skill for meeting the needs and demands of the consumers and also introduces the efficiencyfor monitoring the systems.
