COMPARISON OF LEADERSHIP
Autocratic nursing leadership is
dependent on the leader’s decision
making.
Laissez-Faire leadership does not
give any specific directions to the
team members but, works as a
team.
Democratic leadership is based on
the input of the team members
and work accordingly.
Transformational leadership is
based on the decision making
influences on the team members
Servant leadership is based on the
understanding of the team
members’ needs, skills,
relationships and tools

IMPORTANCE OF AWARENESS ABOUT LEADERSHIP
Leadership is important in the
team work and nursing care
delivery.
Leadership skills such as the
communication, interpersonal
skills, collaboration skills,
influencing skills and others
are needed to be developed.
