LEADING AND MANAGING CHANGE2
Introduction
The report is focused on leading and managing the project by using leadership skills.
Covin and Slevin (2017) stated that leadership is an action to lead the group of people in the
organization. Smith and Peterson (2017) argued that leadership can motivate group of people
to turn towards accomplishing the organizational goals.
1. Emergent leaders and their qualities
Among the types of leader, emergent leader is likely to lead effectively. Under this
leadership, each of the group member is not being appointed to leader’s role. The leader have
their base power from their followers rather than base authority. They are tend to inspire
loyalty as well as serve the interest of their followers (Tymon and Mackay 2016). Examples
